“Just somewhere I was heading. I think you might find it interesting,” she says, but she’s being vague about the details, which makes me a little suspicious.
I hesitate because I don’t really know Sarah that well, and following her somewhere unknown seems like it could be a bad idea. For all I know, she could be leading me into some kind of trap or weird situation.
“I don’t know,” I say honestly. “Can you tell me where we’re going first?”
“You won’t regret it,” Sarah insists, and there’s something in her voice that sounds genuine and almost pleading. “Trust me on this one. It’s nothing bad, I promise.”
