The thought was like a knife to the heart, twisting and turning until I could barely breathe. I’m trying, I wanted to scream. I’m trying so hard. Why is this still so difficult? Alaric paused and watched me. His expression stunned, like he was surprised to actually see me cry. "You're crying," he said, his voice sounding like he hated to see me in pain.

Well, it's not like I started it. “Ahhh!! What is wrong with me today!” I shouted, jumping onto my bed and flopping down like a little kid having a tantrum. I knew the answer: it was the disgusting sight that fool had forced my beautiful eyes to see. Now I had to sit and eat in front of that man, how did he even do it with that girl, that's probably why she was crying. I guess it must have hurt, which felt truly sickening. The fact that he was the only one who could technically ask for a divorce was so annoying. Maybe I should ask him. Who knows, he might agree to it. —

We really don’t know what to do when a girl cries, man,” he said looking at Gabriel. “We just went into full panic mode.” I smiled and wiped my tears from my cheek. “You are even prettier when you smile,” Nick said, looking back at me.

Kelly wailed into her hands. “HOLY HELL KELLY!! That is so exciting!” I said and I tried to make my way to her to give her a hug. It was completely awkward but I managed to. I let her cry on my shoulder for a few minutes before she started to hiccup. “Why are you crying though?”
