Dominique watches me with need, his hand still laced with mine as I eat the ice cream. My tongue slips out of my mouth to slide slowly across the swirl. He groans, fighting the urge to slam me against the ice cream truck and merge our lips.

The old man asked with a smile. "Vanilla." I said happily. "I don't sell regular flavoured icecream." He said chuckling. "Eh?" I mumbled. "I have this kinds of flavours, pampered love, sweet sweet, cool summer..." The old man explained but was cut off in the middle. "I want pampered love." Max said interrupting him. "I'll take sweet sweet then." I said and soon two cups of icecream were given to us both. Max paid and we were on our way to the busstop while licking our ice creams.

Lily’s POV Lily remembered the ice cream part the clearest. Uncle Elijah showed up at the park while she was still on the swings, and he waved at her from the fence like he always did, big and easy, the kind of wave that made her jump straight off without even slowing the swing down first. “Hey, munchkin.” He crouched down to her height, smiling. “Want to go get ice cream?
