Sansa obeyed, her eyelids fluttering shut, plunging her into darkness, amplifying her other senses. The scent of whiskey, the faint perfume of Bailey, the musky undertone of Ben, all mingled, intoxicating her. She felt a cool, metallic sensation against her skin, just above her belly button, followed by the gentle click of a clasp.
“Open them.”
Sansa’s eyes snapped open. A delicate silver chain now rested on her skin, a tiny, intricately carved key dangling from it, nestled just above her navel. It was beautiful, but the symbolism was what truly stole her breath.
