STUCK
Was independence worth losing everything she had here?
The truth however was, hard. Hard and bitter. Bitter and inedible. That he fit her, like a right key inside a right lock, like a sea into the endless horizon, like a hand in a hand, fingers in fingers. He did not understand her, but did not hate her for it. He did not admire her, but never stopped loving her for it.
Silence with him felt better than words with others, anger with him more peaceful than happiness. The realisation made her more furious. It could never be. That was never the plan. Acceptance was never the plan.
