Moonlight Queen

Moonlight Queen

he urged. "No, I refuse!" Larry exclaimed defiantly. Victor stood up abruptly, his voice rising with desperation. "What did you just say? Are you willing to let Neo die here? Look at his face!" he shouted, gesturing to Neo's injured visage. Larry glanced at Neo, frustration welling up inside him. With a sudden surge of strength, he struck the wall, surprised to feel no pain as it crumbled beneath his blows. "I feel so strong, and... I feel no pain," he observed, turning to Victor with a bewildered expression.

The Inferno of Retribution

The Inferno of Retribution

From then on, I had no choice but to turn a blind eye to the matter. Today, however, I was acting so boldly because of my rebirth. In my past life, on this very day, Summer and Jean had gone to the market after putting something to cook in the oven. I'd gone out with a friend to buy some things. When I returned, the dorm was already on fire. Summer had been terrified at the sight of the flames. She'd muttered to Jean, "How could this happen? Nothing's ever gone wrong with that oven." Jean was more terrified than her. She'd trembled all over. "I-I don't know. Maybe it wasn't the oven."

The Inevitable Blaze

The Inevitable Blaze

She said in a low whisper some seconds later after getting in. I closed my mouth rolling my eyes, I didn't know I was really drooling on my book. She exaggerated sometimes. I perched one of my legs up, crossing it over the other one, raising my butt a little higher. I just wanted to be comfortable and get so done with the long book. I heard a low groan but I knew it must have come from outside, possibly from Ander, the gardener. "What's squirting cherry?" I asked getting disgusted from the part I was reading.

THE FIRE LORD

THE FIRE LORD

What if it was true and not just some wild thought “Then I’ll pick you up jeez, you won’t even waste your car’s fuel” Rumors have it that if your blood is mutated, you get killed at night and your body is never found. I jumped up in fright after reading that, what if I’m mutated and I get killed “I’m having none of this” I whispered “Dude really?” I heard Sebastian grumble. I then remembered that I was speaking to someone on the phone “Uhm, you were saying?” I asked in an apologetic tone

OBLIVION

OBLIVION

I continued. In a blink of an eye, Sunny put her ID card near the wall. We wait impatiently in the lift. My heart thumped out of my chest. My ears ringing in anticipation. The others don't look much different. I could hear their harsh breath, their feet tapping on the floor, and click-clack of their weapons being checked the ammunitions multiple times. A ting informed us that the lift had finally reached the base. My heart dropped. There is nothing left. The floor is covered in bodies laying on top of one another.

Vampire Oblivion

Vampire Oblivion

Hell, her reaction this morning wasn't even an overreaction if they ask him. However, her thirst for the truth will definitely put her to danger. It worries him that she might cross borders that are not meant for humans to step over. That's the main reason why hunters like him exist. They are the only ones who can move and poke their noses into human and vampire businesses. Her lights went out and he even saw her silhouette as she moved to the wall before the lights went off. That was his cue to go inside and walk upstairs. Mrs. Dawson is already waiting in front of her own unit.

Living Hell

Living Hell

Like my naani said bad people will treated very badly in hell by burning alive in fire. When Nivi and I sat in front of doctor to hear about her condition. Not even for a second Nivi looked at me. She sat there with her head down. I am not going to scold her or blame her for anything I just want to see her face and make sure that she is alright.

In Lab and War

In Lab and War

I left the lab, almost bumping a few shoulders on my way. I had to get out of there, I had to get some air. All the air on the planet maybe. Liam Anderson was my biggest nightmare. My biggest headache. The thought of having to spend the next six months of my life looking at his face every single day, or well, almost every single day, made me nauseous in ways I couldn't describe. His arrogance was unbearable. Ok, he was the best in robotics, but that didn't give him the right to stick his nose into other people's projects and…my phone bipped. Message. I came to a halt. It was from an unknown number.

MY CRUEL PROTECTOR

MY CRUEL PROTECTOR

"I need time to map the well!" What followed was a brutal, slow-motion crawl through a nightmare. Nevan was the Shield of the Void, a man of eighty-five chapters of war, and he was fighting for every inch of the golden ground. He moved in a circle around me and Leo, his blade a blur of lavender light. Every time a Statue got close, he would strike, holding them back just long enough for me to "Delete" them. He was bleeding—gold-tinted blood from the atmospheric pressure—but he didn't stop.

World of Tomorrow

World of Tomorrow

Evelyn's face screwed up in disgust. “My goodness. It’s filthy.” She meant the words more for herself, but Andrew heard her whispers and looked up. Ahead in the unnaturally dwindling early afternoon light, the edges of the Gateway City were coming into view, stretching out along the horizon. Industrial smokestacks belched plumes of inky black dust into a cloud that crouched heavily over the city like a hen over a nest of eggs.

I've barely been able to put this story down. I absolutely love it. I love how descriptive the story is. And it has made me want to have been able to go to that World's Fair. It is a beautiful love story and I can't wait to finish it.

I am only to Chapter 22, but this book is Amazing so far and by far my favorite. I love historical fiction and this piece is a gem. I read the Author's book about Grace and Juliet and just had to jump right into this one as some characters are the same.
