CHAPTER 84 – THE REPORT MAYA’S POV The police station smelled like a mixture of burnt coffee and sweat. That should’ve been the first sign that this wasn’t going to be pleasant. The fluorescent lights overhead buzzed like angry bees, flickering now and then as if they couldn’t decide whether to die or keep torturing everyone.
