The Female King

The Female King

Esmeralda's POV Thoughts of a happy marital life flooded my mind but I was trapped in this mansion that had become my new prison. I found myself in a different world. The opulence that surrounds me is both captivating and overwhelming. My days were no longer filled with the hustle and bustle of the streets and how I would run errands for Aunty Martha. Instead, I am held captive in this gilded fortress. My every move is being watched by his ruthless men.

Alpha Female

Alpha Female

“Do you remember the first time we watched Akeelah and the Bee and heard this? I resonated so strongly with both of us that we paused the video and looked up the author Marianne Williamson so that we could get the full quote. We repeated it over and over again. Remember, your mom sat us down and reminded us why this meant so much to us and especially to you. Do you remember what your mom said?” “She said that I was a special and powerful female alpha. The goddess gave me a bright light to overshine the darkness in this world. She told me that I would run into three types of people in my life, people who would love and respect my light, people who would be jealous of my light and try to take

Why is this book coming up as recommended when the author has not finished it in 2 years and not had an update is 2 months? This is obviously GoodNovel promoting a book that they should know is abandoned just to deceive their subscribers into paying for a book that will never be completed.

Devil’s Saints: Taz

Devil’s Saints: Taz

“They don’t like it when I say I’ve already been there.” “Hard to go somewhere you don’t believe in.” He mused. “True statement.” She agreed. “I pulled a few books for you. Don’t feel like you have to all of them. Or even any of them.” “I appreciate this. I’m not sure what to think about all of this.” “The woman? The feelings you have? Or the gifts she has?” Giving her a wry smile, he asked, “Do I have to pick just one?” “Absolutely not.” Ciara shuffled the books and pulled one out, handing it over. “This one is about ghosts. I also pulled a few about white covens.”

Either way, I needed Sephora close. She was my anchor, my support. I couldn’t do this ritual without her. May the Goddess be kind and purge me of the fear I feel. Fear clouds the mind, weakens the strike, dulls the blade of one's focus. May such not be said of me—again.

The Office Between Us

The Office Between Us

They were about reading a story to Elias, about braiding Luna’s hair, and about a simple, quiet, perfect moment of peace before the chaos of the day began. I’m Female Alpha

Seeing my prolonged silence, the others exchanged glances, confused. The awkward tension in the air was palpable. Another pack member, a tall brunette named Sarah, spoke up, "Katherine, you shouldn't talk about such confidential matters so openly. Aren't you afraid someone might copy your process and craft the same stone?" Katherine smiled sweetly, her voice dripping with false modesty. "I only discussed the details with Emma. She's so talented, how could she possibly copy a nobody like me to craft her stone?"

Painted Pearls

Painted Pearls

She had wondered privately if the stink of the city alone could coerce her to follow her husband’s command to stay indoors, though she considered it highly unlikely. As she had paused to examine the books lining the shelves, the faint beginnings of her good humour had fled. The titles on the spines leered down at her, the jagged lettering contriving rotten faces of their own. Woman and Sin, they read. The Keeping of a Good Wife. Accomplishments Acceptable in the Female Gender.

Eliza: The Awakening (Book 1)

Eliza: The Awakening (Book 1)

Bright red curls that were thick like a lion’s mane completed Reba’s disappointment in her lack of good fortune in the looks department. Although Eliza didn’t believe Reba to be as unattractive as the woman herself did, more than once, she’d witnessed her friend being ignored in group conversations the seemed to consist of very tall people and could understand how she might wish for a bit more height. As for her hair. Well, Eliza thought that it was the prettiest thing about the young woman. Although, she was sure she’d never convince Reba of that fact.
