She chants and the hunters in the room start screaming and dropping to the ground dead. Others run and we follow to wipe them out.

Blood dripped from his mouth to his chest and he bared his fangs at the back of the woman. "What's taking so long—" Claire didn't get to finish her sentence before a force slammed into her and she was suddenly pinned to the tree. "Why, hello there, little human." The vampire grinned, sharp fangs showing and Claire was speechless at first, her mind trying to process what just happened. Her eyes went past her to see dead bodies lying on the ground and she let out a blood-curling scream. "Now, now, ssh. I just woke up and my head hurts a little." He motioned for her to shut up and she did, but she started whimpering in fear.

Around the corner, two vampires argued over a crate. One was tall and rail-thin with mottled gray skin. The other was burly, hair clinging to his scalp in greasy patches. Claude appeared behind them like a ghost. “Evenin’, boys.” The skinny one spun. Too late. Claude’s clawed hand punched clean through his chest. Bone cracked like wet wood as he tore the rib cage apart.
