MY EX-HUSBAND BETRAYED ME, BILLIONAIRE SAVED ME

MY EX-HUSBAND BETRAYED ME, BILLIONAIRE SAVED ME

I tried to put some space between us by straightening my arm, but the force of the water underneath me made it impossible;any further and I’d lose my grip on Sir Calix. “Are you sure about that distance? If you let go of me, I won’t be able to grab you.” “Sir, let’s go to five feet. Even if you leave me at five feet—ah!” My shirt suddenly rode up, and I quickly pulled it down. Before I could even register what I’d done, that I removed my hands from his shoulders, he swiftly pulled me closer by my waist There was no space between us. His breath brushed my skin, his face an inch from mine, the proximity electrifying.

Dear Mr. Billionaire, Our Marriage Is Just A Contract

Dear Mr. Billionaire, Our Marriage Is Just A Contract

It isn't too much, more like it is mild. His chest brushes against my back, and I can feel the heat of his body so close that it feels like I am going to lose my sense of reasoning soon. I freeze, suddenly aware of the intimacy of the moment. My breath hitches in my throat, and I instinctively take a half-step forward, but the closeness still lingers. I have never gotten so close to him like this before. We are always five feet away whenever we are discussing. Turning quickly, I glance up, finding his face mere inches from mine. Time seems to stretch, and for each second, I feel his breath against my skin.

He Came Back Running

He Came Back Running

I looked at my hands. At the ring. He moved his chair.... Closer. Not around the table.... beside it, the specific deliberate repositioning of someone who needed the distance to be different. I looked up. He was close enough that the warmth of him was present, the quality I had been managing in my peripheral awareness for days.... the specific, specific warmth of someone whose presence had become the temperature of a room. I didn't move back. He was very still. The kitchen was quiet. I could feel the pull of the distance between us, the few inches of it, the specific charge of two people who had kissed an hour ago and had been interrupted by something that had required every available resour

While I like it so far, it's difficult not to notice that AI is being used for a great deal of the story. It's painfully obvious because "person does thing with the quality of a blah blah blah that's decided something and rearranged themselves around it" That sentence structure is used ad nauseum

This is how you tell a story! I do pray it stays this way as I failed to look and see it was ongoing as I usually don’t read ongoing books because updates are not substantial but baby…!!!! This book thus far is a great read and can’t wait until it’s completed.

THE EXTRAORDINARY BRIDE OF THE WYNDHAM FAMILY

THE EXTRAORDINARY BRIDE OF THE WYNDHAM FAMILY

He rose slowly from the sofa and faced her fully. “If you are reacting because of what I just said,” he began calmly, “then you need to understand something. As a married couple, we cannot completely avoid intimacy.” Her breath caught. Now she looked at him. Aurelian Wyndham, the man who kept his distance from the world, was talking about intimacy like it was inevitable. Did he… want her like that? Her mind spiraled. “But I won’t push it,” he added evenly. “Until you’re ready. I am a patient man.”

The Aurelian story has totally hooked me. I don’t know if anyone else has read this far (starting from Chapter 261), but I have to say, the second part of this book is just as fun as the first one... even more gripping, to be honest… Does anyone else feel the same way?

Can't Tame Me

Can't Tame Me

" She explains to me. This impression will disappear over time, don't worry. It usually only takes a few weeks... I continue to bite my nails, swallowing all his information with difficulty, in the end what I understand does not please me. "Are you telling me that I can never get away from him? I wondered." " At first it will be difficult to put distance between you! She confirms to me. But when you have stopped struggling, you will no longer have to live with him permanently, as long as you come back to see him regularly. I remind you that no intimate relationship will be imposed on you if you do not want it, nor even prolonged contact... A simple touch should be enough...

Teach Me, Mr. CEO

Teach Me, Mr. CEO

She would never be vulnerable. "Yes, you're right. We can't think of each other, we won't talk about anything other than work and we would maintain 5 feet distance from each other at all times. These are my rules and you have to abide by them because I'm equally a part of this, do you get it?" He blinked at her a few times as if making sure she was being for real and her unchanged expression gave him the answers.

My Altered Mate

My Altered Mate

I asked and he stood up and walked towards me. With his sun-like eyes looking directly into mine, he stood exactly in front of me, with no space more than a foot between us. Our faces were a little over six inches apart. I could feel his breath, his scent was so raw in the air. I felt like if I were to look away or step back, I would have submitted to him.

The Blood Moon Prophecy

he said. "That you have been sitting across this sofa from me for an hour reading an official document and the whole time part of you has been elsewhere," I said. "Aware of where I am and the fact that I am here and that the distance between us, which is approximately three feet of sofa cushion, is a distance you would prefer not to be maintaining." He looked at me across the sofa. "Three feet," he said. "Approximately," I said. "That is a correctable distance," he said.

When Wrong Target Meets True Love

When Wrong Target Meets True Love

It was good that she did not set his eyes on that man. "In just five minutes, that man will contact you. It seems that he is also enchanted by you. What do you plan to do?" "I don't think I have that sort of charm. No matter what his thoughts are, I will not interact with him. I will maintain a safe distance between people." "Then, what about the distance between you and me? Is the safe distance still there? " When she thought of the intimate contact just now, her face blushed slightly. "What if it is or what if it isn't?"

Frequently Asked Questions

The novel 'Distance' dives deep into the emotional rollercoaster of long-distance relationships, portraying the highs and lows with raw honesty. It captures the frustration of missed calls, the ache of physical absence, and the small victories—like a surprise letter or a late-night video chat. The characters cling to fleeting moments of connection, making every second count. But it’s not just about the longing; it’s about the resilience. The story shows how trust erodes when doubts creep in, and how jealousy can poison even the strongest bonds. Yet, it also highlights the beauty of emotional intimacy built through words alone, where conversations become lifelines. The physical separation forces the couple to confront their insecurities and grow individually, which either strengthens their love or reveals its fragility. The ending doesn’t sugarcoat things—some relationships survive, others don’t, but all leave scars and lessons.

What sets 'Distance' apart is its focus on the mundane struggles. Time zones become enemies, and mundane details—like a delayed text reply—spiral into existential dread. The author doesn’t romanticize the struggle but instead paints it with gritty realism. The characters’ internal monologues reveal how distance amplifies both love and doubt, turning ordinary relationships into battlegrounds of patience and faith. The novel’s strength lies in its refusal to offer easy answers, mirroring the messy reality of long-distance love.
