It's with a heavy mind that Chasing Shifters will be going to a 2x a wk updating. Life has gotten much busier for me and as of now, and I can only do updates 2 days a wk. so look out for new episodes on Weds and Sats. This change will go into effect this wk. The crowd burst into gasps. Meanwhile, Natalie was too busy soaking in the masterpiece unfolding on Sienna's face. She wouldn't miss a second of it. As the room hung in stunned silence, Natalie put on her shocked expression and seized control of the conversation. "So, Ms. Spencer, none of those pieces were actually yours? That explains why your style 'magically' shifted from realism to abstract overnight. Did you honestly think we wouldn't notice? How could you do this to everyone who trusted you?" As Natalie's words sank in, the crowd buzzed with murmurs.

" Brandon inquired, and Ezekiel sighed at him. "Are you serious?" He asked. "I thought you mortals were all about science and facts...do you actually believe anything that I'm saying right now? Believe we have powers?" "Who knows? I don't have any real reason to doubt it, do I?" Brandon pretended to contemplate, even while he worried that he had walked into a verbal nurse. He didn't want any of the Shifters analyzing him....or asking questions about him. He needed to seem normal, he needed them to stay away from him. So he tried to shift the focus. "I'm mean who cares what I think, if the truth is in front of me....I don't run from it. Are you tell me the truth?"

But now well now she was back. As the reality and pain of the “real” world had set in she began to panic. Then she closed her eye and began to picture the world she had just witnessed with its beauty, and peace. It calmed her. She longed to go back. She longed to return to that sweet place. But how?

He asked. "Sequence, the geometric progression" I said and he looked up instantly. "Sequence Camila? You must be dumb then" he said. "What? Hell no" I yelled looking up. "I'm a scholarship student" the words slip out of my mouth before I could stop them. "Scholarship? How? The school doesn't offer scholarships" he said and I sighed. Clinton was really telling the truth. "But I entered through one" I said shutting my eyes. "You're mistaken Camila, the least the school does is make you sign a loan" he said and I sighed.

No hidden tricks jump out. “I don’t think it is,” I say. “But he expects people to rush.” “Research your chosen consequence carefully,” Professor Ashford continues. “Base your findings on fact. You have ten minutes to discuss with your partners. After that, we move on. Next semester’s focus will be the dangers of partial shifting.” Partial shifting. That draws a few uneasy looks. It’s not a comfortable topic. Losing control midway through a shift can end badly. Everyone knows that. Lee raises a brow at me. “Choose carefully? That sounds like he’s waiting for us to fail.”

"What is happening?" "We were hoping you could tell us," I said. "Have you sensed anything unusual? Threats? Disturbances?" Phoenix frowned. Closed his eyes. When he opened them his expression was troubled. "Reality has been shifting lately. Not dangerously but noticeably. Like something is pushing against the fabric of existence from the outside." "That is what I have been feeling too," Kai added. He flickered more violently. "Fluctuations in the dimensional barriers. Similar to what happened before the Hierarchy attacked."

The shift did not hurt. That was the very first thing I understood, not thought, but understood, in the specific way the biology understands reality long before the human mind catches up. I had been braced for absolute agony. Every fragmented account I had ever half heard about shifting wolves described it as a primal torment, bones dynamically fracturing, the flesh rewriting itself, a violent transition that extracted a heavy cost before it ever granted power. I had prepared for that physical cost the way you prepare to force open a door you know is going to be impossibly heavy.
