Knights were flying around, obviously, they couldn't take the two sirens lightly. "What is happening? Don't we need them? Why are they being killed?" I asked confused. Maybe I have a right to be confused, right? "August, keep it at bay. This war is no longer in our hands." Gen said but it was too calm. I saw them still riding the dolphin with Cayden. "But who the heck killed the siren?" I asked confused. It's not just a creature. It's so fast that I haven't even seen it beat Aqua Siren's speed. Black flakes slipped from beneath the band and floated to the floor. He reached for it but her hand gripping his wrist so fiercely he felt her fingers cutting into his flesh stopped him. “Don’t touch it!” She ordered. The sound was followed by a broken shriek before she could pinch it off. *** “What is it?” He demanded in frustration. “Seringue. If you touch it, it’ll kill you.” She warned through gritted teeth. Breathing quickly in shaking breaths. Peeling her death grip from his wrist he changed the hold and interlocked his fingers with hers. She gripped it tightly, drawing her knees to her chest and making small choking sounds.

I asked bewildered. “Maybe, it’s some kind of a twin connection, because when one of us is in danger, the signal comes to our brains, or maybe it’s my fantasy. I don’t know. It’s a wonder. But what really makes me disappointed is that you wanted to end your life!” he screamed. “I thought that you were dying! Don’t you think, that it would be a little bit selfish to leave me alone in this world when I’m already without mom?” “But I wouldn’t have died!”

These heads have curious features; they are human-like but they sport strange appendages like horns, pointy ears and extra eyes. “These glass heads are so lifelike,” said Alice as the others search for a place to hide. “Because we’re once alive,” said one to Alice. All of them have to slap their hands into their mouth so they won’t scream. “That woman did this,” another glass head muttered. “She wants our hearts, but she discarded the body and kept our heads for her collection,” another one growled. “And she will do the same to you,” a head near Alice said darkly.

I can't get a good look at the siren's face, but its body is extremely muscular, built for battle, and a hundred percent male. A thousand shivers travel up my back. Unlike Hayden, the siren has slimy webbed fingers, long claws, pale skin seeming not to have seen any sunlight, and its tail is that of a shark. The monstrous creature screeches again, and I hold my breath when teeth, way longer than my forearms, almost grace my skin. A larger-than-life tongue flicks out, licking my cheek as if to taste my skin, and finally, my flight or fight instinct kicks in.
