I burst out laughing again trying to take away the awkwardness. “Sorry,” I said quickly. “Dark humor.” He exhaled, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his mouth again. “But seriously,” I continued, waving a weak hand toward the door. “You can go now.” His eyebrows pulled together slightly. “Go?” “You look like someone who is important,” I said matter of factly. He studied me for a moment before he responded. “You are important too.”

"I pissed it off? No, fuck no. It pissed me off. It killed my friend and took her. Where'd it take her? What is it? Who the hell are you?" The corner of his mouth quirked up as he made a small approving hmph. "You're just like her," he whispered. "What's that supposed to mean?" He shook his head and remained silent. "Are you going to answer any of my questions?" I asked. He shrugged. "Depends what they are." "What's the darkness?" He shook his head. "Why is it pissed?" He shook his head. I balled up my fists. "What the hell is that?" I pointed at the glowing firefly-like thing.

He sees me smiles and responds mischievously. "No, I'm fine at the moment," I nod and leave even more nervous than when I entered. I walk into the kitchen and into the office, where Pit has another order list in hand. “What's up Nisha?” he asks when he sees my face. “Who is Dark?” I ask, what happens next alarms me. The list falls from her hands and the color in her face vanishes completely, she opens her eyes wide and says in barely a whisper. “Where have you heard that name?” I hesitate for a moment.

He whined like a child. Seriously? Was he 5? "Date? I bet you won't get a chance. See you soon." I smiled at his childish actions. He was really cute. When I entered to room again, I found Adam, Sil and Lucas were chatting happily. What actually happened in just a few minutes that they? started to laugh together? "Done lovey dovey talks?" Adam smirked. "Shut up! Lucas, don't you need to go for ceremony?" I asked him seriously.

In a dark room in a private room the flicker of a lighter sounded and soon tiny flames erupted in its tiny holes and in the dim light Arthur's face became clear. He lit a cigarette and put it in his mouth, his eyes cast down. In front of him stood a man in white doctor's coat and beside him was a female nurse both dishevelled, likely caught in the act. “So, I heard you're selling promotions to nurses by sleeping with them,” Arthur said, his face still having his signature cocky smile.

“I do not fall.” There was a pause. “No,” he said calmly. “You just look very funny while slipping.” The line went dead. I stood there for a long time. Then I began laughing again. Because if I did not laugh, I might start screaming. The televisions behind me kept talking. The city kept moving and for the first time in my life, I understood what it felt like to be the joke. But jokes can turn dark very quickly and I am very good at dark.

Noah flinched, “Well, let’s look at the bright side… at least he didn’t vaporize himself.” Blackie snorted, “…he can’t vaporize himself any more than you can soothe yourself.” “Oh. He shattered my misunderstanding so quickly, " Yes, " I whispered. " Go, " he ordered.

Grey warned. “Ready your coffin, Virgo,” Dark’s voice cut through, cold and final. “Dead,” Palvin said with a grin. “Farewell, you monkeys,” Grey added. “May your ugly soul find heaven,” Alfonso joked. “Amen,” Palvin said. “Boss, don’t be like that. Please. Think of the babes,” someone whimpered. “Move your a*s, three idiots. Kill the bastard with the bazooka or I will kill you all. Choose,” Dark barked.
