The thought gnaws at me, sharp and unrelenting. I should go inside. Should try to enjoy this brief moment of peace. But my instincts won’t let me. And judging by the tension in Levi’s jaw, his won’t either. Finally, I exhale. “We should move soon.” Levi’s eyes flicker to me, unreadable in the dim light. “I know.” “Matteo won’t let this go.” “No,” he agrees. “He won’t.” A beat of silence. Then “We leave at dawn,” Levi says, his voice steady. “No more waiting. No more looking over our shoulders.”

I only care about leaving. When I realized they weren't any minute close to being done with their meal, I dropped my cutleries on the plate, pulled out my chair, and got ready to leave. It was almost ten thirty and I wouldn't love to walk in the dark cos only the heavens knows what lurks in the darkness these days. A lot of crazy things have been happening around the pack and people are being advised to be in their homes by ten. "I'll love to retire for the night. Goodnight everyone," I gave a fake smile once their eyes landed on me.

I said. "Right now you can't leave today, I'm having a party, we are going to celebrate that we are back, you can pack your things, but you have to be here tonight and after the party or tomorrow you could leave, for god sake what's the hurry," he said exalted. I could sense that he was upset, by my decision, but he was already taken. "It was a surprise I had for you, the party today, but apparently it is no longer a surprise, enjoy tonight and you can leave tomorrow," Dilan said and left annoyed.

I nodded in acknowledgment before turning away and dashing out. IT IS TIME…

One by one, they all began to howl. Once they were finished expressing their love for him, I began speaking again. “I have spent the past few days thinking about what to say to you all and still I have not all the words. I push him aside when I finally get to the bed and immediately I collapse into it, with the softness of the material eclipsing my body. “Anyway, I came here most importantly to tell you that we will be leaving today. So you need to get prepared because we should be exiting in the next one hour,” he announces from behind me and I groan. “Make it two,” I tell him from within the sheets but I am mostly inaudible. “Two? That would not be good from our end and you know that. It’s going to ruin most of our movements for the day if we decide to choose to leave in two hours and not one,”

Why am I even here? “We leave by 8 A.M. Grab some sleep.” I tell him, grab my pants and walk away.

"You can start right away, any day within the week that you want, or next week Monday.
