I asked, trying to sound annoyed but failing spectacularly.
Zed appeared in the doorway, sleeves rolled up, his usual black T-shirt tight against his chest. He gave me a cold glance that could freeze a flame. “Morning,” he said, voice low, clipped.
“I need…roasted chips.” I tried to keep my voice casual, but the whine seeped through anyway.
Zed’s brows shot up. “Roasted…chips?”
“Yes! Roasted. You know, the crunchy ones, not the greasy fried ones. You’re going to get them for me. Now.” I pouted like my life depended on it.
