He protects people from the baddies, and nothing can stop him because he's like super strong. And, and, he has a super duper cool suit!" He says excitedly bouncing up and down in his seat. Liam said climbing on Ivy's lap, it was a spider man suit that she knew Liam would fall in love with. "If you wear that all day, how are you going to test the other clothes she bought?" Piper asked and Liam raised his hand high like he was a super hero. "I'm spider man! I can do anything." He said and they all giggled. "Hm. These smell nice. Let's eat." Piper said as they all gathered on the floor to eat the things Ivy bought. "Piper, something's burning." Ivy said and Piper jumped to her feet and disappeared to the kitchen.

I just stared at him, unable to say anything. He introduced himself to me and after a very lengthy conversation I learnt that he was the leader of the group he called 'the Rebel'; That their planet had been taken over by The Force, a group that overthrew the government, killed almost everyone of them with supernatural abilities that refused to work for them and enslaved other citizens. The Rebel was formed to identify those with powers and bring them such that when their numbers grew big they would rise up against the Force and reclaim their land.

I end the call before she can respond, my chest heaving with suppressed fury. Harry stirs beside me, already half-asleep. His tiny hand finds mine, squeezing lightly. "Daddy?" he mumbles, eyes fluttering closed. "Tell me 'bout the superhero now?" I force a smile, brushing his hair back. "Of course, little man. This one's about the strongest hero ever. A hero who fights for what's his and never fucking gives up." And right now, that hero isn't just fighting for his son. He's fighting for Violet, too.

As she squirmed and giggled, her meltdown vanished. Ivy laughed, shaking her head. “He’s really good with her. And Violet doesn’t like men. She doesn’t trust them.” She frowned, speaking softly as she said the last part. I frowned and gave her a side hug. “Yeah, well, Hibiki isn’t just some guy. My husband is a superhero, and Violet knows it.” I smiled. “I guess that's how she sees him. You two opened that bathroom door, and she was wide-eyed about his badge. And then he offers to get us set up in a nice house with his family. He's a saint.” Ivy sighed.
