As I put one of my feet inside of the warm and welcoming water filled with the petals of the beloved and most beautiful rose. I sometimes wonder why it has so much love being given to it. It is so imperfect, yet that is its perfection just like all of us--We are perfect and one because of the imperfections of us. I also wonder why a rose just steals my heart every time I look at it--it's just so magnificent. “Friends and families discount.” Ollie paid the florist and then put the box of lilies inside his backpack before he plucked a single red rose from one of the shelves to his left. “Here.” He placed the rose in my hand. “It matches your hair.” Then Ollie turned around and walked toward the door without waiting for me while I stood there with my cheeks turning the same shade of red as the rose in my hand.

His brown hair a mess, the stubble on his chin, the definition in his chest and abs. She'd always found Jack handsome. But they were best friends. As much as she'd love for it to be more than that, there is no way she could let Jack know her true feelings for him. What if he didn't feel the same way she did? The way he looks when he works is really attractive.” She spoke slowly, her eyes looking far away not knowing what she was thinking. I didn't answer, and continued to listen to her.

Rose mumbled as she kept her gaze fixed on her computer screen and ignored his stare. “Good morning Rose, it’s nice to see you on time today. I also saw those reports on my desk when I came in this morning; nice work.” Jack said with a nod. This time Rose did look up in surprise because it just sounded like Jack had given her a compliment. “Thank you,” Rose said quietly. Jack was trying to act like he was not staring at Rose but he was practically salivating and needed to get a hold of himself. He decided that maybe he had been going about this the wrong way and needed to try a different approach.

She took the large bouquet of roses from the delivery person and sniffed at it deeply to show off. "It smells so nice." Her coworkers gathered around. "Who sent them?" "My good friend, Aralyn!" Joanna also saw the flowers in Alice's hands—they were much larger and obviously much more expensive than hers. She grumbled, "It's not even from a man. Why are you so proud of it?"
