Novel & Cerita Jacob Grimm Books

I squeak from under the covers. My grandmother gives me a disapproving look. "I mean, tell me a new one, please." I say. "I want a story I never heard before." "One you haven't heard before? That's no easy task." She walks over to my bookshelves; her fingers trail over Grimm's Fairy Tales, The Happy Prince, Collected works of Hans Christian Andersen. Even at that age, I had a huge appetite for fantasy. For the unreal. Gran sits back down on the bed. She looks thoughtful for a moment, scrutinizing my face before nodding.

I protested, but Jacob was adamant and insisted on feeding me the porridge he had prepared. When he brought the spoon near my mouth, I was forced to open my mouth because he assured me that it wouldn't take long. After I took a spoonful of the porridge, he said, “Good girl.” He gave me a book to read after he fed me my breakfast and then excused himself to take care of something important. I was curious about what he was up to as he walked away. Jacob was not someone who let go of something once he bit it, even though I only knew him for a short period of time.

It was better I start over again as a new being and at a new place. It deserves to be the beginning of newer, better, and greater things. ….....The END……. "Please, I want the book. One day I will understand." Brandt smiled and replied with humor, "If you ever make sense of it, let me know. You can then argue with my father on the merits of Christianity. He believes in the Goddess and loves nothing better than a good philosophical debate." He turned and picked up another book. It had a picture of a wolf with a snowy mountain background. "This is Jack London's Call of the Wild and it's the one we'll read first. Let's finish the cake and then get ready for our evening company."

After that, he saw to the care of his mother until her passing in the 1920s. After that, the book became a meticulous record of Jacob Cypress's campaign to purge the world of all supernatural beings. But never once in there did it explain why he held such a vendetta against creatures that he didn't have a connection to. The origins of Jacob's non-human half were still shrouded in mystery. When Julianne and I both ran out of questions, we shut the book and locked it, putting the key back and placing the book on the shelf. My stomach growled and I looked at the clock.

My heart beats fast, and I feel a wetness between my legs that I can’t ignore. One gray afternoon, it was pouring rain outside. The library was dead empty. No one to bother me. I locked the front door early and turned the sign to closed. My hands were sweaty as I picked out my four favorite books from the back shelf. There was the pirate story with Captain Thorne, a tough guy who sails the seas and takes what he wants. Then the vampire book with Lord Draven, all dark and mysterious, with eyes that pull you in. Next, the cowboy tale with Buck, rough and ready from the wild west. And finally, the barbarian adventure with Garrick, a big brute who fights with his hands and conquers everything. E

It didn’t occur to her until now, but what she would find didn’t have to be good. Was she prepared to face it? Was there a reason the headmistress and Jake kept the truth from her? Well, she was about to find out. It was too late now to stop. “I’ll check this shelf,” Isaac said. “Cole can take that one and Syanna the smallest one.” “Why do I get the smallest one?” “Because you’re slow,” he said in a ‘duh’ tone. “Fair enough.” Syanna could see why these were the unique books. Most of the other books in the library were ancient, brown and huge, but these looked magical.

I punched the bridge of my nose and rubbed my temples, telling the stress that had chained me to release me from it's shackles. Jade's turn and she told a story that had already been written by some author known as Godwin Hosanna Aga. The book was named in the deep and it was about some girl named Hephzibah and it was pretty interesting and scary the way my baby sister had told it with a touch light under her chin, illuminating her face and weird canines. "And that is, in the deep!" Jade screamed, stomping her feet on the floor and howling like a wolf.

Another and the final reason why we haven't started the search yet is because Alex and Mason want to investigate the wolf killings in the other part of the forest even though it isn't our territory and even though none of ours has been killed. But it is so very close to ignore. As Thwy are doing that, I am learning with the oracle about being a witch. He has these two big volumes of spell books that he told me are called grimoires. One has a big black cover that is shining like it was made of a very rare snake skin and on top of it written with letters that look like fire are a big words "THE GRIMOIRE OF THE HOUSE OF CASPER". "Who's Casper?" I ask the oracle as I flip its pages.

But instead of old stories from my grandmother’s life, the pages were scrawled with strange symbols and sketches—shorthand in her handwriting explaining the purpose of different runes and sigils. Flipping through the pages, there were sketches of wolves, and the last page that she’d written in had a detailed rendition of a nightmarish wolf-beast that made my blood run cold at the sight of it, it’s eyes smudged over with charcoal in the shape of a protective rune. My heart raced when I realized what I was holding. This was no ordinary journal, it was a spell book.
