Jake raised an eyebrow before bursting into laughter. Jake’s smile only widened, his eyes glinting as if enjoying Raja's reaction. “Oh, don’t be so serious, Your Highness. We’re all friends here, right?” He winked at Tales, causing Tales’ expression to darken. He glared at Jake. Tales knew Jake was dangerous, and what he couldn't understand was the idiotic behavior Jake directed toward him.

“You look great.” “Thank you.” Jake responds with a smile, shyly scratching the back of his head. “I don't know if the boys will like it since it was on short notice, but I bought comic books.” “Carlos and Lucas. That's their names.”I retort, glaring at him. “I—” I snatched the bag containing the comic books. “Let's go. I miss your motorcycle.” The ride home is short. I lead the way to the front door and push the door open, with Jake following closely behind me.

I felt like approaching him to introduce myself or at least get his name, but I had to resist my feelings. Just staring at him from a far distance was okay. But I imagined myself hugging him.
