~Jake~ My name's Jake Reynolds. I'm forty-two years old, an architect. I design spaces people inhabit. Sarah and I have been married for two years. She's thirty-seven, intelligent as hell, vice president at a firm that eats companies for breakfast. Her job sends her away constantly… conferences, site visits, deals that can't wait. This time, it's a week in Chicago. She leaves tomorrow morning. "Jake, have you seen my passport holder?" Sarah calls from the stairs.

It saddens me to be unable to feel this bond forming. Next up is Jake; he was born to lead. The Delta position will suit him; he can lead without being in charge. He has a lot to offer; he’s calm, patient, strong and caring. And has spent a lot of time with Jasper learning the security systems he will be selling in the pack's new business.

*** At Mathew’s house, “So, have you planned anything? How will you acquire the CEO position in Knight?” Dan inquired. “I haven’t planned anything yet, but I’ll figure out something. Trust me on this.” Jake responded, looking at his father Dan. “You better figure out, Jake. We don’t have time! Leo knight will soon officially announce to the world that Christian is the fresh face of Knight Group and if you don’t want me to kill Chris and that Mishka, then do something real soon because you know I am a restless man.” Dan warned, his eyes blazing.

I am Lilah Winters. My husband Knox is back at the pack at the moment, but is able to come along if you should need him to attend”

I pull out of Kayla. We dress fast. No time for anything else. We make our way to Chris’s suite. Later, in Chris’s room: “Okay. So we find this Jake Santiago, and then we find Esteban,” I say, holding my daughter as she trembles in my arms. Her pain cuts me deep. The only thing I can compare it to is the agony Charlie and I felt when Brandon rejected us all those years ago. “Jake’s gone,” Chris chokes out. “He’s on a trip to South America.”

Soon, they arrived at a lavishly decorated secret room. All of Jake’s subordinates kneeled on the floor, guns pointed at their heads. James sat on the couch, smoking a cigarette, appearing nonchalant about the massacre that had just taken place. “Where is Jake? Bring him here right now.” Jake had another identity — Jay Fallon, the medical genius in Cansington. Normally, he would not be here. One of his subordinates called him immediately. Right at that moment, Jake was discussing the annual medical competition with a few other well-respected doctors.

Magda grimaced at Jake who was waiting by the car. “You are special Magda and after the sale you are in high demand for the press. Jake is taking it very seriously. He has offered Miklos consulting services.” “He told me to go fuck myself,” Jake said with a sneer as he held the door open for Magda. “I told him if he wasn’t going to handle the security of his wife and her friends correctly, then he needs to relinquish the control and I will take over myself.” In the back seat of the car, Magda looked to Ares with a sigh, “is he always like this?”

Jake works as senior executive at one of our other operations and yet he always finds a way to come over here, same with Gideon, despite being an Alpha himself he will galavant from his pack to mine repeatedly. Jake slams the bear cans onto the table and pulls out a seat. I raise an eyebrow. "Hmm, Day drinking?"
