I couldn't think of a better man for her. I’m going home to get a couple of hours of sleep. I’ll drop by in the morning to see you both try and get some rest. You look like you both need it.”

Jake asked his mum pulling me closer to him It was Jake's mum's turn to blush. Mr. Anderson cleared his throat to get the attention of his family. "Eva will you stop disturbing the kids, Jake is no longer a kid so stop meddling in his affairs." Mr. Anderson reminded his wife. Jake couldn't help but to smile and send a mischievous smirk towards his mum for being reprimanded by his dad. Instantly I felt sad if I were to grow with my real parents will I share the same bond as Jake did with his.

Jake’s in the kitchen, flipping pancakes with one hand and holding a cup of coffee in the other like some sort of domestic superhero. “Morning,” I say, leaning against the doorway, the baby monitor in one hand. There is a family day at school next week! You both have to come!”
