I wake up with a violent start, my chest heaving as my eyes snap open. For a second, I just lie there, disoriented and confused, trying to understand why my body feels so tense, why my heart is hammering like something terrible has happened… And then it hits me and my eyes widen as the connection I made yesterday before I fell asleep crashes over me like an avalanche. The moment it sinks in, I sit up so fast the room spins around me. “Fuck,” I whisper breathlessly as I throw the blankets off and climb out of bed.

he said opening his kit and examining Alexander. "I don't know. He...he was fine before we fell asleep, and suddenly he is...what's happening to him." I said with a worried tone and tears rolling down my cheeks. "He is having a nocturnal panic attack." Jace said. "He what??" Before Jace could answer Alexander woke up from his sleep, he was sweating a lot, having trouble breathing and was trembling miserably. "DO SOMETHING JACE!" Elliott I woke to screaming in the middle of the night. I jump off my living room couch where I was sleeping and run up to my room where Jessie was thrashing from a nightmare. I couldn’t tell for how short or how long this nightmarish sleep had caught me until loud bangs on the door got me jumping off the bed. It continued and somehow it seemed like the knocks of many. Adrenaline taunted me. My legs became weak and my body began to sweat even with the AC in the room. Then it dawned on me.

Rose jolted awake and almost fell off the bed when she heard loud noises and more precisely gun shots echoing everywhere. She didn't know when sleep had fully taken control over her but right now her heart was going to burst right out of her chest. She was beyond terrified and clutched the sheets closer to herself and she gulped. The gun shots were becoming more relentless and it was in the middle of the night.

Nathalia’s POV The tranquility of the room is shattered by a sudden eruption of noise, causing my heart to leap in my chest. The cacophony of loud voices and the forceful slamming of doors jolts me awake from my peaceful slumber. In an instant, my body is flooded with adrenaline as I am thrust into a state of heightened alertness.
