Amelia woke up with a start. Her heart was pounding heavily against her ribcage, and her breathing was hitched. The bedsheet underneath her was soaked in sweat and so were her nighties. She was having a nightmare which she couldn't even remember, but she knew it was terrible.

Gigi As I move in my sleep, I slowly awaken and, with a startled gasp, I sit upright on the bed, recognizing the familiar room around me. Breathing heavily, I struggle to calm my racing heart, wiping the sweat from my brow. It dawns on me that it was all just a nightmare.

Julian woke up to the sound of someone knocking on their front door. He groaned and rubbed his tired eyes. He turned around to look at Serena who was still asleep next to him. “It’s the middle of the night” He murmured quietly as he pushed his hair out of his face.

A smile appeared on my face, and at that moment I felt my heart beat faster. "Why is my heart beating so fast like this?" My hand felt my chest, feeling the rapid heartbeat. The sound of water gurgling in the bathroom made my face suddenly feel hot and flushed. I walked slowly to the bed and imagined what we would go through tonight. Feeling very tired, I unconsciously started to fall asleep. I don't know how long I was asleep. Until I finally opened my eyes and realized that it was getting late. "Oh my! It's already noon!" I exclaimed in surprise.

The dream slips through my grasp like sand, leaving me jolted awake, gasping for air. I find myself sitting up in bed, my body drenched in a cold sweat, my legs trembling uncontrollably. My heart races as I take in my surroundings, trying to ground myself in reality. I take a deep breath, covering my face with my hands, trying to steady my racing thoughts.

Aria I jolted up in bed, heart racing like it had been ripped out of my chest and thrown into the dark. At first, I didn’t know what had woken me. Everything felt wrong. Off. I blinked into the dark, the moonlight spilling through the window casting long shadows across the room. And then I heard screams.

"Shit, I should have checked the weather today. Then I would have taken my sleeping pills." I sighed in frustration. Suddenly, I felt small beads of sweat start trickling down my face. My heart jumped every time I heard a boom coming from the thunder. I realized my whole body felt paralyzed yet shaking constantly. I wasn't breathing properly, fear and anxiety took over me.
