That weirdo always had a liking for eating raw meat in his human form. "I need him found now!" Kanyon growled as he slammed down his fists onto the long rectangular table in his conference room. He was in one of his moods since he lost two of his men by Jarvis’s hands. They had ambushed Jarvis in a town called Willow Crest and they fought him, but he was too strong. Jarvis ripped their hearts out of their chest. That was his signature move. He always mentioned that he liked the feeling of the beating organ in his hand. It gave him butterflies in his tummy as he felt the pulse weakened until it was gone.

A sharp grunt escaped James as he slid to the floor, dazed but far from defeated. Snarling through bloodied teeth, James lunged up with a savage roar, his claws arcing through the air. He raked them deep into Jared’s side, flesh tore, and a spray of crimson painted the narrow corridor in streaks. The coppery scent of blood filled the air, thick and metallic, mixing with the sharp tang of sweat and rage.

Jax let out a furious, animalistic snarl, his aggressive pride completely shattered by Jordan's effortless, superior dominance on the ice. When Jordan accelerated down the ice for the third and final pass, I could physically see the unhinged, violent frustration completely consuming Jax's mind. Instead of attempting to cleanly check Jordan, the massive player intentionally dropped his heavy shoulder and shoved violently into my smaller, unprotected side, using my body as a physical projectile to disrupt Jordan's path.

Before he can register what's happening, a fist connects with his face. The blows keep coming and River cries as he tries to block them. The big scary guy hovering over River is ripped off of him and thrown to the ground. Jared roars as his claws pierce the asshole's chest and rips his heart out. "RUN!" Jared yelled before turning and opening his arms as two more enemies charged River. River cried as he turned on his heels and took off running.
