Or at least half a new face. A young man was standing obediently next to Joshua as he carried a medical kit in hand. The odd thing about him, however, was the fact that the youth was wearing half a mask. It covered his upper facial features, and it wasn’t unlike a masquerade mask. “Could I know who this might be?” asked Bryson with a smile. “A-ah…! Ah!” replied the masked youth as he pointed at his own mouth before waving his hands slightly. He then pointed at Joshua before placing his palm near his heart.

I know where this is going. "You can't do that!" I whined as I trashed on the chair. My cookiesssss! Noooooooo! "Oh yes, I can" he said while nodding at Jason. Jason grinned and got a long piece of cloth from his pocket. He then covered my mouth with it and tied a tight knot at the back of my head preventing me from screaming. I tried shouting for help but only muffled sounds were heard. This can't be. My cookiesssss!

After a while, she tilted her head back in bliss and froze for a few seconds before lying down. "Sir … are you sure it'll be fine? If anyone finds out I was involved in whatever happened tonight, Daniel won't ever help the Browns …" Jessica asked in a sweet voice. Under the moonlight shining through the window, she looked fascinated at the man lying lazily beside her. The mysterious man leaned on the pillow, eyes closed. He wore a silver-gray mask on his face, which covered half of his face. His chin was similar to Daniel's, making Jessica want to remove his mask.

He turned to me and this time he looked straight in my eyes and he continues, “I will try and come back here to see you. But if I can’t and you can recognize me without my mask when we meet once again, then I won’t hesitate to be yours forever. This I promise.” I became dumbfounded at the moment and couldn’t speak a word but just look into his sparkling eyes. He blinked and cleared his throat before looking away, he made his way out of the room without looking back. My heart that was accelerating at the moment stopped the instant he closed the door vanishing from my sight.

Stacy started struggling to free herself, making petty noises as tears trailed down her face. Seeing a masked person wasn't what she expected or wanted again "Stop," the person said and removed his mask. She gasped when she saw her CEO, Jason and immediately stopped her struggles. Jason released his grip from her as she held her mouth scared.

I rounded the corner and stopped dead. Jason sat at the kitchen island, showered and dressed in dark jeans and a fitted black t-shirt that showed off the body I’d seen way too much of last night. His dark hair was still damp,and pushed back from his face. Those green eyes lifted to meet mine, and that infuriating smirk appeared. “Morning, Melissa!” Mom turned from the stove,with her spatula in hand, beaming. “Come meet Jason. He prefers Jason over Luca.” “We’ve met,” I said flatly.

I scanned the area to see if I could spot Jason, and eventually caught sight of him standing at the entrance, staring at me. When he noticed me staring back, he quickly looked away. I pointed him out to the lady. "That's him, right?" I asked. She nodded. "He got a pretty weird getup with the black mask, huge black sunglasses, and the black face cap. I wonder what he's trying to hide. Yes, that's the one. Do you need anything else?" she asked.

Pride rose in him as he rushed to see Jason success but as he further came out he saw Old Justin with a gift box in his hands. "What sort of rubbish is this. How dare you insult me. Where is the team" he asked the shaky Justin who handed him over the box with 100% fear which was seen in his eyes . For the next hour in the pine forest, The Masked master cursed Jason and his accomplices and vowed to end Jasons life himself. He commanded the head to be Laureni beside his broken mirror in his tent. "JASOOOOON" he screamed as the crows on the trees dispersed .

My mate on display like that. Jason was something of an enigma to me now. He had many masks, other than the one lying beside his plate, and I couldn’t be certain he hadn’t been messing with me, until he said, low, “Forgive me. I didn’t know the extent of what they were planning.” “Red or white?” “No rosé, Alpha Archer?” “That’s for pussies, Lycan. Want to go upstairs and don a dress?” “I’ll stick with water,” he said.

But nonetheless I had to keep anything from my face, especially because I wanted to wince and hiss in pain. "Well I'm still here. So, do I get a hug?" he opened his arms ever so slightly. When I stayed still and didn't say anything, Jason squeezed my hand really hard, almost making me break my mask. Then he suddenly let go, and I caught him flicker his eye's towards me annoyed, letting me know I could hug him but that I was still in trouble. "Of coarse!" I smiled widely and took a couple steps forwards into his awaiting arms. He must of known something was wrong, right? I never hesitate... But when he didn't say anything, I sighed in relief.
