I reach into my purse, fingers scrambling for my phone. Just as my fingers wrap around the casing, a rough hand slams into my shoulder from behind. “Ah!” I gasp, the phone slipping and clattering against the concrete, the screen shattering. I am spun around violently, my back slamming hard against the concrete pillar. The impact rattles my teeth, pain radiating across my shoulders.
