A balding man approached the table with two bodyguards. " Mr Xavier! Good Afternoon!" Jaxon and John said in unison. " Have you been waiting long?" The man asked. " No, Sir. We just got here." John answered. The man helped himself to a seat. " Ah! The rogue billionaire businessman, Jaxon Hearst. It's nice to finally meet you in person." " The pleasure is mine,Mr Xavier, and I'm not a rogue." Jaxon laughs. " Says the man with billion dollars empire and is still raking in more." Mr. Xavier said. He snapped his fingers and one of the guards lit a cigarette for him.

I figure they were likely talking to each other through mindlink. “You don’t really ask questions.” Jaxon comments as he takes off his suit jacket and makes himself comfortable on the sofa. I could now see that his chest and arms were almost completely covered in tattoos. The dark shapes and lines visible underneath his white shirt. The suit jacket had made him look more slender than he really was, hiding his bulging arm muscles. “Oh I do.” But the questions I asked were mostly to myself. Xander smirks at me.

Never inside. And never like now—with the man he swore he’d never protect again standing at the top of the grand staircase in nothing but black silk pajama pants, a cigarette tucked between his lips, and a smirk designed to make any man hate himself for wanting. Xyla Quest refused to engage the two men in a discussion about the quality of her jade mines. The man with the baritone voice noticed her smile as his gaze fixed on her face. “Why do you look so familiar?” he asked with a smile. Xyla chuckled. “And you are?” “Let me introduce myself. My name is Cain Hollander, Mr. Shaw’s protege,” Cain said. Xyla nodded before extending a hand to him politely. “Nice to meet you. I’m Xyla Quest.”

After ending the call, Xavier immediately went to Jaxon’s room. Jaxon was lying on the bed again, staring at the ceiling.When he saw Xavier enter, he pushed himself up slightly. “Dad?” Xavier walked over and sat beside him. “I have good news.” Jaxon blinked slowly.“What is it?” “I found a doctor who might be able to help.” Jaxon’s tired eyes brightened slightly.“Really?” “Yes.”Xavier smiled gently.“He’s in Los Angeles.” Jaxon tilted his head slightly.“You’re going there?” “I am.”He reached over and adjusted the blanket around Jaxon.“I’ll leave soon.”

Monday came along faster than I expected it to. On my first day at work, Xavier introduced me to Jax, my new bodyguard. I was hesitant to meet him at first, and a bit nervous. It didn't help that when we first met I was extremely intimidated by him. He towered over Xavier's 6ft 6in frame. He was extremely well built. It looked like he could kill someone just by looking at them wrong. He was wearing a tight black t-shirt, and ripped black jeans. Arms crossed along his muscled body. From the visible skin showing, he had two full sleeve tattoos, interlaced with random scars. Just one look at him made me feel so much smaller. Jax was seated on a couch watching TV with a beer in his hand, he smiled at me after noticing my presence. “Come take a seat,” he says patting the space on the couch he was positioned on, I walked toward him and sat down. “Do you care for a drink?” he asked. “I'm sorry, but I don't drink.” Jax chuckles at my responses, We shift our attention back to the Television. After some minutes, I asked him a question that lingered in my heart for some time now. “You and Xander seem really close,” He turns to me, “Are you related?” I asked,
