RJ chuckled but waited for my response. “Uh-huh, I’ve just crept out lately whenever I did some overtime, and you know me around the hospital; I don’t get scared even when I’m alone, but lately, it does.” I sighed as my heart rate finally settled down. “Oh, you might have watched some horror films before...” RJ teased, making me laugh at her. She knew that I was not into any horror films, but she still teased me with it. “RJ, how can I watch a horror film alone when I’m fucking scared of it?" I sarcastically asked, making RJ shrug her shoulders while chuckling.

"Of course not. We can handle this, we are not scaredy cats like you, it's nothing just a normal movie, so we are fine." Susan nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we've seen scarier things, so there is no way that this simple movie would scare us, if you're scared, then admit it." Just as they exchanged confident glances, a sudden, spine-chilling jump scare jolted them all. Luna and Susan let out simultaneous shrieks, clutching onto each other with wide eyes. Zayn couldn't help but chuckle at their reaction. "Really, no fear at all, huh?"

chuckled Smith, Cole laughed as well. She looked up at me confused, I smiled weakly and nodded. This is going to be great. Smith started the movie and I lifted Zee in close, resting her between my legs and pulled a blanket up over us. During the movie Nat and Zee both screamed and jumped multiple times, even Cole muffled a quiet scream here and there. I don’t think Zee really watched any of the movie, she had her hands over her face, or she buried herself into my chest for most of it. As the movie ended, we all kind of giggled and grunted at the scariest and most disturbing parts of the film. “Yeh okay I get it now, clowns are definitely scary” Zee admitted.

As the movie started, after the third scene, I found out it was actually a scary movie, the jump scares were real, and the whole plotline was demented, to say the least. "Are you scared yet?" Finn teases Calesti who laughs it off. "This movie isn't even scary," she says, but then ads, "Are you scared Finny?" she says using the same nickname I called him earlier, he hates it, but when Cici calls him Finny he's all good with it, she could call him anything and he'd love it. "Oh, I'm terrified," Finn lies, he got up and pushed me from the middle, and now he's sitting right next to Calesti pushing me near Theo, with the next jump scare, I jumped up and I don't think I did anything, but Theo thou

The movie started and i realised it was a horror movie. I felt all the three pair of eyes looking at me through their corner, but none took any initiative to actually ask me if we should continue with this one. Not wanting to say it loud, i kept sitting there while counting the numbers but one loud scream from the movie, and i was gone. "I..I am sleepy now!" I muttered getting up, but someone pulled me down again.

Mean Girls played first, and Judi kept quoting every other, Justina threw popcorn at her halfway through. By the time The Proposal started, the room felt warm and comfortable, laughter mixed with the smell of fried food. Eventually, The Conjuring came on, and that was when things started to shift. Judi screamed the loudest at the jump scares, and Justina covered her face with a pillow, peeking through the edges. I laughed until my stomach hurt. I wasn't a fan of horror movies, but I'll watch it without blinking.

We were all just standing there, thirty strangers in some dramatic-looking grand hall. Then came the crying. "Waaah... this place is so scary. I wanna go home." Scary? Could've fooled me. Thanks to my perception disorder, my brain airbrushes reality. The grosser something is, the prettier it looks. So to me? This place felt like a cozy Airbnb. Meanwhile, some cranky knight-looking dude threw punches at the shadows. "Quit hiding and fight me, coward!" While most people were busy freaking out, two stepped forward—chill and confident.

I asked when I looked at her hiding behind me looking so frightened. "I can't, I can't watch the movie. It's too scary and bloody." She pointed out and I couldn't help but laugh. "Hahaha, is that a joke?" I started laughing again because this is ludicrous. "Are you serious? A ghost is scared of a little horror movie, isn't it ironic?" "You can laugh all you want but it's really scary and I just wanted a simple fun movie." I mean, I don't want to laugh at her but I couldn't help it.

When I was tipsy, I curled up on the couch and sobbed. I was in my twenties. I was supposed to be at the prime of my life, but I was disfigured. Hedgar came over to wipe away my tears gently, which was unusual for her. “I’m still around. Don’t cry.” I looked at her through the tears, and I found her sudden gentleness a shock. As she comforted me, I finally broke down. I hugged her and bawled. “Hedgar, I don’t have the courage to meet anyone anymore.”
