I asked eagerly, eager to establish a name for this newfound connection. My wolf chuckled, and her voice resonated in my mind. "You should give me a name," she suggested. I pondered for a moment, placing a hand on my chin as I thought aloud. "How about Lima?" I suggested, hoping it would resonate with her. But my wolf shook her head, rejecting the name. "No, that doesn't quite feel right," she responded. Unfazed, I continued to search for the perfect name. "Okay, what about Kiara?" I proposed a glimmer of hope in my voice.

The grey wolf gave a passing glance to the Alpha who was busy meeting a couple of his other potential mates. "I'm sure he won't mind" the grey wolf voice was as smooth as silk, "Only one wolf becomes the Luna and there are plenty of you to go around. My name is Hound." He reached out his hand I took it knowing that humoring this wolf was a bad idea. Always polite. "Enchanted." I said in the manner of an unenchanted person, "My name is Elma."

My brother appears to have done his job well, maybe the wolf will be ready to talk. “What is Alpha Jake planning?” My brother questions. “I told you, he’s not planning anything,” says the wolf. “What do you think, we’re stupid? We know he is after her and why. What is he planning?!” As I walk in the wolf is crying from his skin being burnt with a silver blade. Mason notices my presence and removes the blade. The wolf’s eyes widen in fear and I smirk. “So what is your name?” “Ajax,” he stutters. “Like the cleaner,” snorts Mason.

“Yeah… you mean my wolf, right?” “Yeah. Isn’t it the same thing?” I asked, sounding as innocent as I could. “Not really. Anyway! Forget about that. The name of my wolf is…” The winds pacified. I could hear my heart and every breath Amor took. He said wolf’s name was sacred for him. Was it ok for him to tell me his wolf's name? “My wolf’s name is... Crystal growls but I continue. “What's her name anyways?" I've been dying to know. Usually, a wolf's name is based off of the person's character and also the wolf's personality. Astro means Star. I wonder how that murderous bastard came about with that. Judging by Crystal’s personality, her wolf should probably be ‘Daisy’ or ‘ Rose's or ‘ Candy’? I don't know, something sweet and a bit fragile but that wolf's scent doesn't always depict that. She's a strong one and could easily be a menace if Crystal will let her.

I know for a fact I won't use common names, whether the wolf likes it or not. With that, I go to another website. "Buddy, Rocky, Toby, Cody, Cooper, Bear, Rusty, Bentley, Louie, Sparky, Maximus. No, that's not it," I sigh, "Maybe I have to be more specific." I search for half an hour before I start reading the names slower to see how the wolf reacts. "Dragon. Emerson. Drew. Jayson. Raphael. Briar. Astro. Eclipse. Moon," he perks an ear, but it isn't good enough for me, "Not doing it for you either?" I heave another sigh as I click on another website.

“So what does your wolf want to talk about?” I barked out a laugh. “We don’t talk. She harasses me and I ignore her.” He studied my face, like he was trying to commit every detail to memory. “Why?” he asked. I shrugged. “It’s just what works.” He nodded. “My wolf can get annoying, too. He’s quite the talker. His name is Adair.” I cocked my head. “They have names?” I asked. “Of course,” he said. “All you have to do is ask.”

Pausing again and scrubbing his hands over his face, he then asked: “What is the name of your wolf? What do you know about her?” “Her name is Inanna, and I honestly don’t know much except that she is a very strong and capable wolf. She has never given me anymore and I have never asked. Why?” I was curious to know why my wolf's name was so important. My father, the king, and Beta Michael had already searched prophecy books trying to find out why my wolf and I are so strong and nothing was ever found. I told Wilson just as much. “Inanna, Inanna, Inanna.” He repeated while rubbing his chin.

“So you have a wolf inside you?” I shrugged. “Kind of. He’s me. And I’m him.” She looked down at my paw. “He’s black?” she asked, looking at the hair on the back of the paw. I nodded. “Big?” she asked. I chuckled. “Yes,” I said. “Not many bigger than me.” “People call you Alpha. Is that your wolf’s name?” I shook my head. “No. That’s my title. It’s kind of like the boss of the pack. My wolf’s name is Lupo.”

Almost as if my mom was attempting to hint to me about something. “Actually…” I say now blushing. “I finally got my wolf today” At the mention of my wolf does everyone move to turn and look at me. Nervousness now running through my body as I do. “Oh honey, that’s great news. Did your wolf give you a name?” asks Layla. “He did. His name is Rune” “Rune? Why that’s a wonderful name” admits Austin, who was listening to his son talk about his wolf. Jake and the others now smiling as they do.
