I draw my knees up to my chest and lay down my head on them, holding back the tears I have already shed. “Caterina,” Kai’s voice broke through the haze, but I refuse to look at him, knowing if I did, then I will gladly forgive him. “Please, Caterina, look at me,” he pleads, and I feel my heart waver for just a moment. As I turn my head to meet his gaze, a solitary tear falls out of the side of my eye. His mouth is a thin line when our eyes meet, and he lifts his hand to cup my cheek.

I’m weeping tremendously, hitting Leo’s chest, sadness fogging my entire being. “Sugar, everything is going to be fine. It is not going to be all that bad, we have each other, right?” I nodded, shutting my eyes as tears fell on my cheeks. I move to the bedside, gently tugging Kai’s hair behind his ear, my tears dropping on his blanket. Kai could barely keep his eyes open, he was blinking, shivering and gritting his teeth. “Papa,” He shivered, tears rolling to the side of his face, “Kai Kai… cold… feels cold.”

Kai tried to make her understand but in return, he got a glare from her. "I will beat you to a pulp if you are here to defend your friend. I know him well. He's a jerk." Anna again shouted at him with her red puffy eyes. Kai lifts his hands in surrender. "Okay, okay. I won't say anything now. But stop crying. You will fall ill if you keep crying like this." Kai goes near her but to his surprise, she placed her head on his shoulder and cried hard. He was stunned for some time but then calmed himself and let her cry on his shoulder. From a distance, a pair of eyes were looking at them holding fire in them. He hit the nearby wall seething in rage and then left immediately.

Banner was too stunned to speak, “you built it with your blood, sweat and tears---” “Oh, for fuck’s sake I don’t cry.” How ironic, Kai tried to smile with a gentle sniff, sucking back his tears in, “just do as I say.” I heard his voice melting into soft bubbles of tears and ache as he hid his face from me, peering down, thinking I’d never get it that he’s crying. “I'm not staying here---” “Nancy will be here, since… since you are a terrible cook,” Kai, trying too hard to make me smile, but to no avail.

End of flashback “I'm sorry dad… I'm sorry I couldn't stop it… I'm sorry.” I squatted close to the grave at the lawn of my home, tears pooled in my eyes, “I'm sorry I failed you, I'm really sorry dad.” I choked out the words as I felt a gentle pat in my shoulder, turning to see Kai. “Mommy, why are you crying?” He touched my face, I hurriedly wiped them with my sleeves and flashed a faint smile, “Mommy is not crying, it's called sweat, it happens when you're a little tired.”

There, sitting at the top against the wall, so still I almost disregarded her as a trashcan or other school facet, is Lana. Tears stream quietly down her twisted face. Her chest rises and falls in steady, forcibly-controlled breaths, as she tries to calm herself down. She must hear me approach because she pries her wet, long lashes apart. Once she sees it’s me, something in her familiar expression melts, and she shifts backwards. Her pink flush tints her entire face, eyebrows knotted together in something akin to sorrow. “Kieran,” she weeps, “I’m sorry.”

My eyes filled with tears, as if I wanted to cry. "Why are you so relaxed. Your car has been destroyed." I looked at his car which was shattered. "You're bleeding." my voice sounded hoarse. I wanted to stop what I was saying, so I wouldn't cry. "Relax, Beyza. I'm fine." Kai said with a smile, he tried to calm me down. But when I heard Kai's voice, I just burst into tears. "Gosh, you're a crybaby too." said him, then he laughed. I covered my face with my hands, my cheeks were really blushing.

Kai May’s puffy eyes glistened with unshed tears as she dropped to her knees before me, baring her neck in submission. Her voice trembled as she spoke, each word heavy with fear and desperation. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, Alpha,” she began, her voice cracking under the weight of her emotions. “I was just trying to stay alive. As you can see, I have no abilities…” Tears spilled freely down her cheeks, her frailty laid bare.

"I'm okay, Baby. Please don't cry anymore, alright?" Byan gently wiped away the tears streaming from Kia's tired, brown eyes. The girl hadn’t stopped crying, her tears flowing uncontrollably since earlier—an overwhelming mix of relief and lingering shock. "I-I can’t... can’t stop, Byan. My tears... they just keep falling..." The girl, with her long hair disheveled from crying, was still sobbing when Byan pulled her close into his arms. Kia instantly wrapped her arms around his waist, seeking comfort.
