Kaito called out while dragging a bloodied, limp waiter… I mean the assassin- his eyes wild with rage and bloodlust. Hawk nodded before pulling Charlotte and me into his big embrace. He conversed a little with Kaito in Italian, and then Kaito flashed one smile I had never seen on him. It was jarring, cold, lifeless. Like a whole other entity had just possessed his body. He looked empty. Like a demon sent to haunt all the living. “This motherfucker and I have a lot to talk about!”

It didn't have the burn I wanted but it was okay. "I'm Kaito by the way. Fuuji Kaito" he said. I raised a brow. "Fuuji? As in Fuuji Magazines?" He nodded. "The one and only. We've done a few businesses with your parents. You look like your mother" A smile made its way to my face. "Yeah I've heard that a lot of times" He took out his phone. “Selfie?”

I asked confused. “You have been appointed as the new Sheriff.” Kate was the first person to hug, “am proud of you” she whispered to my ear. Stanley’s POV Miss June Hall has been pestering me for an exclusive. Later I agreed. On getting there, Kate, Emma, Vin, Kayla and Lynn were there. “What of agent Tom?” I asked seating down. Joker chuckled, slapping him on the shoulder. “You don’t know that.” Kane scoffed, shaking his head. “I do know. Just like I know that Tabbitha only liked you for surface reasons. You look at her the same way too.” Joker sighed. “In what way?” He asked, finally looking at him. “As if she could never do any wrong.” Joker whispered. “You don’t judge her for the things she’s done…”

Whoever silence him wanted it to go unnoticed so ended his life quickly. “Yes, it was only the joker who shifted.” Austin pointed his finger at the clown. “She didn’t shift.” The clown remained unmoved in her spot. Agatha frowned at her. “The joker didn’t die right away. He got up and intended to come find me, but he didn’t make it. He knew he was dying. So, he crawled into the cave and awaited me. Waiting for me to come collect his body. Preserving whatever evidence, he had on you.”

His expression was stern and unyielding as he opened the door, his imposing presence dominating the room. Mrs. Quintana froze in place. "Mr. Joker... why are you here?" Mr. Joker was the right-hand man of the boss’s son. Now he was here in person, which explained why someone had dared to fire a gun in this area. Mr. Joker stopped in front of Nina and said coldly, "This person is not to be harmed." Mrs. Quintana hesitated, stunned by the realization that Nina's claims were true. Seeing her hesitation, Joker's eyes flashed with anger. "Didn't you hear what I said?"

Diego scoffed. "The woman I have picked out will be quite the opposite. I am sure of it." Joker replied. "Why is she a lesbian?" Sym asked. "No. She's just, how do I say this nicely? A good girl." Joker laughed. That caught Cage's attention. There's no way Joker meant his beautiful good girl, right? Now he was paying attention to what Joker was saying. Joker explained the rules. Brothers could bet one night, one week, or one month. "What's your bet, Joker?" Diego asked.

At that, I hear the approaching jogger who catches up with me. I don't need to look at him to know who it is. "You're late." I chastise him. "Sorry." Something in his voice makes me glance his way, and I slow down my jog until I come to a complete stop, Kaito following me. "What the the hell happened to you?" He's bent over with his hands propped on his knees. He never gets winded while running, so there has to be a story behind the swollen black eye and busted lip he's sporting.

There, the Joker frowned and tears streamed down his face. “This is you.” Rhett put the card in his hand. “You’re a fucking joker. You know that, right?” Jax turned the card over and took in the sleek design. It was thick and more of a lightweight metal that was so thin it mimicked paper. “What’s does a joker symbolize?” he asked. “You know I’m not a card player like you.”

“He will not dare to escape. We are in The Unknown world, inside the lion's territory. I am sure he is smart enough to escape as a human. But in case he is crazy enough to pull a trick, Joker visited him just now.” “Joker? You mean Clown?” Dhia arched her brow. “Joker, Clown… both are his name.” Aidan rolled his eyes. Joker and Clown were one of Mandrill’s name codes. Due to his inability to choose either one, Hyunki chose both Joker and Clown as his codename.
