Skyla's hand fled to her chest when she had a glimpse of his fully naked upper body. His body was badly bruised and had scars all over it! Skyla exclaimed, "I thought one deep scar might be responsible for all of this…" With that she lifted her eyes to gape at his blood covering the ground before getting back her gaze at his chest and then his abs. She continued in her mind, "But there are scars all over his body! It's impossible for me to conceal all of them! This doesn't look like an animal attack! I don't see any person would have done this much harm to me after all he seems strong enough to face whatever comes his way!" Skyla's eyes got teary and her heart got heavy on seeing the amount

He teased. "Just be fast!" The rustling of clothes followed and I waited for him to dress up. Thinking he was done, I slowly let my hand down but he was still shirtless, his back facing me. I wanted to shut my eyes but something caught my eyes. His back was full of scars. A lot of scars. "What..." He turned to me, only for me to see more scars on his chest. "Akira..." I called. "What happened to you?" I asked as I stepped toward him. I stopped in front of him.

Kavyaa then darted her eyes across his clawed face, and instantly had a flash back of Mr Verrono her guardian. As she went to touch his scars, the wolf pulled his head away from her, trying to control its sudden heartbeats. Kavyaa could sense the pain on his face and figured he was sensitive to her touch. She also noticed some scars going across his chest too. Poor guy, whom did he fight to get scars like these? More importantly, it was injured and hurt. Her hand then landed on his bleeding wound, drawing his attention back on her. It lowly snarled at her, and Kavyaa gasped and carefully removed her hand from his injured paw.

Akio sobs. Nikolai laughs darkly, shaking his head. "Stop killing for them," Akio begs. And that's when Nikolai snaps. "I'm not killing for them. I'm killing Akio. That's it. The end.” He gets closer, eyes drowning in Akio’s , dark and deadly. "This is who I am," he bites out. Akio opens his mouth, but freezes when Nikolai pulls his top off. Pointing to a scar across his ribs Akio sees inches of golden skin, tanned, toned and gorgeous... and criss-crossed with slivers of silver scars and wounds.

Isak groaned as he kissed down my stomach, his fingers already busy with my jeans. “I don’t know about that.” I blushed as he kissed the claw mark scar on my right side. “It was training, and I didn’t let Mikali heal me. "It is just a scar," Kael said. "It means I survived." I moved lower. I washed his hips. I washed his thighs.

“You told me once you were addicted to my face. Said it was your drug. Well… it’s gone now. Just scars. So please—go find someone whole.” “I’m so sorry, Jake…” Ariana choked out. “Sorry?” I laughed bitterly, my head shaking. “I wish sorry could fix it.” And then—something warm touched me. A hand. Small. Soft. Real. It was Liz. I knew how her hands felt. “Jake…” Her voice was soft, trembling. Her eyes were dripping with tears, but she didn’t look away. She wasn’t afraid. She wasn’t disgusted. She was just… there. She touched my scars like they were nothing, tracing them without being disgusted.

By the time he finished, silence stretched between them like a canyon. Caius blinked. Then blinked again. His jaw dropped, then closed, then dropped again. “Wait. You’re telling me that happened? To you?” Sebastian nodded stiffly, his throat dry. “Show me,” Caius demanded. Sebastian frowned. “What?” “The mark. Show me.” With a resigned sigh, Sebastian tugged his shirt over his head. The torchlight hit the crest etched into his chest, faintly pulsing with its unnatural glow.
