Kane & Abel Novels & Stories

I ate until I could burst, squirming in my seat as our chatter became less easy, our eyes shifting nervously to the scattered papers. "We can't avoid it forever," Alex said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I wish we had more time." "But we don't, we have to do what we can, Theo." "What have we got?" I asked, breaking the invisible barrier between us and the looming treaty. "Same old," he sighed, "Eye for an eye, mate for a mate. Only the sacrifice of the opposing Alpha's mate will end the bloodshed." "And Alpha Rhodes doesn't have a mate," I echoed, agonizingly, "unless miraculously he manages to get one in the next four days."

Evelyn's POV "I, Alpha Kyle Turner, reject you, Evelyn Sanders, as my mate." Alpha Kyle hoarse voice boomed in my ears making me freeze on my tracks, his voice laced with disgust. Crack! A cracking sound resounded inside my body and I felt as if a part of me was forcefully torn and taken away. My wolf howled in pain but there was nothing I could do about it. Tears flowed down my face as the pain became immeasurable, increasing with each second to the point I was unable to tolerate it. I could care less about the gazes on me. I was already used to it.

“Eve.” The man’s eyes narrowed briefly, a smirk rising to his lips. “Evelina,” he purred, rolling my name around on his tongue as though he tasted it. “My name is Keane Hearne. My brothers and I run this institute.” “You—what?” I looked over at Kacey, hoping for an explanation, but she still seemed frozen on the spot. “We’re the bosses here,” he said. “But don’t worry, you’ll figure that out in no time.”

Kane knew something; she had been having doubts about it before, but now she knew better. He must have been thinking she was dumb, but she couldn’t miss the way he had avoided her gaze when she talked about her parents or how his hands shook beside him. This was Kane; the man would never lower his gaze for anybody except when something was wrong or he was guilty. She had to ask someone else, Ariel thought as she took a bite from the dry ass bread, not even bothering with butter or jam. Kane was off the list, and Toby wouldn’t say anything.

I was now an avenging angel without any feeling or remorse. "I'm Abby short for Abalone", I said. I knew it was the perfect icebreaker. It made people curious to know more about my name the nickname Abby my brother used to call sounded harmless even to humans. She was still silent though. I watched her casting a fearful look towards the door. I understood her misery she was worried that she should be punished for disobeying the alpha.

Kane, now understanding the gesture, timidly shook her hand. “I'm Kane Silver.” Ignis smiled, revealing a sparkle in her eyes. “Beautiful name, Kane. Are you traveling with your family?” Kane nodded, easing up a bit with Ignis's welcoming presence. “Yes, I'm with my older brothers, Cassian and Dorian.” Ignis nodded in understanding. “Must be a challenging journey for you. Where are you headed?” Kane nodded. “Yes, we're heading to Seattle.”

Did I just meet the ruthless billionaire, I use to hear of him but I never saw him, John talks about him even Chloe "Noooo….somebody should wake me up" I muttered fanning myself "Did I just propose to the ruthless billionaire mogul" "ALPHA WANE"

“You don’t know. Find out, Beta Jarvis. We don’t want a feud with another country.” Rene hailed from New Brunswick. Then there was the wolfpack which had done for Kayleigh’s father at a young age, according to Kane. Now this. I needed my co-Alpha to counsel me – and I needed him now. Ariadne went with our second-in-command this time. Never had I seen her so weary. My attention returned to Kane. I almost shrieked to see that his eyes were open and fixed on me. “Three wishes,” he mumbled.

I asked him. “Rude, I was being nice.” He bellowed “My name is Remington or Remmie for short, this is my identical twin sister and best friend Reign.” I explained making eye contact with Cain as I knew he was not happy with me talking back to his brother. “Well that wasn’t so hard now was it little hell cat?” He chided. “Now I am Abel the cute and funny one and this here my twin and bestie is Cain the tough brooding Teddy bear. As you now know Remmie he is quite cuddly once you get him alone” Abel said.

Nivea's POV: Me and Keenan were dancing, enjoying the sparks that stayed on our arms when Abigail walked up and stoped us. "Hey Ni! I've been looking for you everywhere. where have you been? who's your new friend?" she asked the questions quick like she might die if she didn't. "Well I've been outside where I ran into.... " I started to say but was cut off by Keenan. "My name is Keenan and we found out that we are mates. That is, if you'll have me?" He asked and looked at me with those dazzling eyes. I was so shocked by his sudden question that I was lost for words for a second.
