K gazed at Jesse, grinning at him knowingly as she was totally right about reminding him of the tea-and-cookie-courtesy during their conversation up in her room just about half an hour ago.
"Excuse us, sweethearts," Kathleen pleasantly announced, already crossing the parlour to go to the kitchen. "I'll be back in a minute. Just make yourselves comfortable. Kristen, honey, tend to Jesse, alright?" She called out, and was already walking the hall with her husband on her side.
"I will, Nana!" K yelled, then sat at the couch. She pulled the hem of Jesse's sweater, prompting him to sit beside her. "So, how are you?" She asked, the corner of her mouth quirked up into an amused smile.
