Unless he really cared about me like he said before. After a few minutes I saw Karisha coming out of the lake. My eyes followed the trail of water dripping from his hair and running down his beautifully tanned skin, enhancing the details of his carved chest, his six bellies, his deep V line ... OMG! "Huh, should it seem as if they were killed by a serial killers? No too dark." Even though it wasn't her first kill, it felt different. Speeding up, I drive to the one place in the pack where I can comfortably think and rage out- The Training Grounds. After a few hours of punching the crap out of a ton of sandbags, I get calm enough to figure out a solution. It’s a long shot, but first I need to find Kiara and explain everything to her. Getting to the bar she works at, I see her by the counter, talking with a suspicious-looking man. Suspicious because I know every wolf in the pack, but his face doesn’t ring a bell. “Kaleb,” she waves at me with a bright smile as I walk to her. “Who’s he?”

she just shrugged. “All I’m saying is it’s Friday night … who knows what could happen?” I didn’t like what she was implying. I could practically see her fingers weaving invisible puppet strings, manipulating the situation to her liking, but before I could answer, the door to the bathroom opened and out walked Kara. She looked stunning as the sleek black dress hugged every curve, with a plunging neckline that stopped just above her navel. She twirled playfully, showing off the backless design and the ruched fabric over her perfectly sculpted rear end. “You, my friend, have a death wish,” I whispered to Aurora, who ignored me completely.

Karla’s pov The door opened quietly, and Alaric entered with the healer. She was a woman in her late forties who had kind eyes, but a no-nonsense expression. She wore a white coat that seemed to project an air of authority, but the gentle way she smiled at me undermined it. She walked up to the bed with a clipboard. “How are we feeling today, Karla?” she asked quietly. I glanced at her briefly before my eyes shifted to Alaric, who stood silently by the door. His arms were crossed, but his expression betrayed a hint of worry. “I’m fine,” I muttered.

LUCA trained his sight at his luna as she had trouble running around the territory. This morning right after breakfast, he was summoned by Andrin to their house as per Karina’s request. It seemed like she was tired being cooped up with his mate at the office. “You okay?” He asked. “Yeah, I’m fine,” Karrie replied although she wasn’t sure herself if she really was. Days after the ceremony, she felt like her body became heavy. She didn’t think much of it, assuming that her body was still recovering after the bond. However, as each day passed, she felt she was getting as sluggish as ever.

“Then stop treating me like—” “Not now.” The edge in my voice cut through whatever she was about to say. Good. We didn’t have time for this. The woman stopped a few feet from the gate. Close enough to speak. Far enough to stay safe. Smart. “Alpha Kael,” she said. Not a question. A statement. I didn’t react. “You have the advantage of me,” I replied. “State your name.” She smiled slightly. “Dr. Elara Voss.” Human.

“What about the file?” Cara looked at her, hesitation in her eyes. “The file… Mum doesn’t know I’m dating him. I met him at a shoot. He's a model too. Mum doesn’t want me dating anyone right now. I told him, and I… I was going to give him Mum’s secret file to blackmail her, just to make her let us date.” Sara’s mouth went dry. Who even thinks to do that to their own mother? But she kept her expression calm.

Emma’s POV I was following the whole interrogation from outside the room. Kayla is doing a good work. I checked my watch it was 11:40am. I wanted to call Kate but I decided not to. I will call her after the interrogation is over. So I relaxed and followed the interrogation process. Kayla’s POV “What did he have you do?” I asked. “All sort of illegal stuff and murder. He ordered the assassination of Mary, attempted assassination of Kate and the murder of Albert.”

We wake up very late the next morning. Karla is the first to wake up, screaming, shouting and swearing her boss will skin her alive. She has a quick shower, borrows one of my new numerous skirtsuits and heels. She then borrows my blue Ferrari, saying she will return it tonight or tomorrow. She waves us all goodbye before she bolts out of the room. I am left with Riana who is in no rush whatsoever and she's the last to have a shower.
