Breaking Her at Thanksgiving
Katie gave a soft chuckle, then just like before, pointed at the figures one after the other.
“This is Mommy, this is me, and this is…Raph.” She bounced a little at the last name.
Solène raised a brow. ‘Already?’ She thought, staring at the figures holding hands, a single curved line on their faces, indicating a smile.
And beneath it, “Family” was written in crayon.
“Wow,” Solène said. “That’s really nice.”
“Yeah!” Katie took the paper again, beaming as she stared at her work. “My mommy said he can be my daddy if I want.”
