I immediately called her.

Bella squeaks, the pride she has in me is the reason I do everything in my power to make her proud. “My daddy opens peoples bodies up.” Katie grins, and I can't help but laugh because by that she means he's a surgeon. “Gross.” Serenity gags, but all Katie does is nod. “Why are you here? It's not for kids. I've been here a few times before, but Ma was a frequent visitor. Katie's home is beautiful. There are flowers, trees, and shrubs everywhere, and in the backyard, there's even a pond with fish and water lilies floating on the surface of the water. Katie opens the door. I don’t really understand what it is because almost half of his explanation was in the form of sound effects but it doesn’t really matter because he seems satisfied with me just flying around making the occasional airplane noise. A few minutes later Maddy and Charlie come in to the room and says, “Ah, I see you’ve been introduced to Paw Patrol. Careful, he’ll suck you into that for hours.” “Oh good, can’t wait.” “She’s being Skye!” Seth says excitedly. “He must like you. Skye is his favourite,” she says with a wink. “Oh wow, I’m honoured,” I say with a grin. At that moment, the front door opens and a woman, who I assume is Maddy’s mom walks in saying, “Who’s car is in front of our house?”

A huge smile spreads across my face as I link arms with Katie as we walk out of the pack house. We spend the afternoon shopping. Katie buys everything well, everything and anything that is pink or fluffy or both. “Doesn’t Dawson mind you buying all this?” I ask as we sip on our iced coffees. She shakes her head, chuckling. “No … well, he doesn’t show it if he does. Happy Luna happy life, right?” she tells me, her honey eyes twinkling as she smiles at me. I laugh back, shaking my head. Aurora wouldn’t be able to pull that stunt. I’m sure she would if she could, though. She likes all this girly stuff as much as Katie.
