Ternyata kebaikan David tadi siang hanya untuk menjadikan dirinya dan pegawainya sebagai kelinci percobaan. Rupanya dia mau membalas dendam, maki Griselle di dalam hati. "Melihat kamu kembali baik-baik saja, aku merasa sedikit tenang, artinya makananku masih layak untuk dimakan." David melanjutkan perkataannya masih dengan nada tenang, tanpa menyadari perubahan di wajah Griselle yang sudah menghitam. Wajah Griselle yang awalnya kelam, tiba-tiba berubah dengan cepat menjadi wajah penuh kelicikan. She walked back into my life as if she had always lived there as if my heart was a home built just for her. Meeting her was completely unplanned, but soon turned out to be the most beautiful part of my life. I thought that keeping her away from me would keep her safe, but I was wrong. You can keep the person that gives meaning to your life away, but I should have listened to her. I should have given it all up for us to be happy, but I was too selfish to do that.

This book was released back when I was trying to get traction on it a very long time ago. I’ve never made a single dime from this company, but they’d like to keep my book forever. Even when I did the writing every single day thing and should’ve gotten a “publishing bonus.” It never happened. So they don’t get to keep making money off of me and my writing. This was a much older draft than what I’m currently trying to publish anyway.
