He felt his knees trembling as he waited. After several minutes of standing still and waiting, there came no response. He walked to the door and knocked again—this time even louder than the last. He waited again, but there was no reply. Then he wondered if Cedric was home. Kevin turned the door handle and found, much to his surprise, that it wasn’t locked. He blinked in surprise as the door swung open. It squalled on its hinges, loud and rusty. It struck him as odd—Cedric never leaves the door unlocked.

GABRIEL “Hey,” he greeted casually. I stopped and turned halfway toward him, my lip curling. “What the fuck do you want with me now, after betraying me?” I was already prepared to walk away again if he didn’t say anything worth my time, until I noticed the faint glint of metal in his hand. “Look,” Kevin said, unfazed by my hostility. “If I hadn’t reported your arrival to Alpha Darius that night, you wouldn’t be receiving this generous treatment.”

Then, he stood up and spoke, "I forgot to take the medicine from Alex. I will go and get it. Don't go wandering around!" "Alright!" Before he even walked out of the room, he noticed that Rose's eyes become as bright as diamonds. Kevin didn't say anything but he clenched his fists subconsciously. Once he walked out the door, Rose took out the tiny book that was hidden under the pillow. She wrote and doodled something for a while. Then, she tossed the quilt away and got down from the bed hurriedly. As soon as she opened the door of the ward, she saw a security guard standing at the door. Kevin was there too, giving her a death stare.

Now that I thought about it, it did seem weird, “Maybe the address is the key to something. With everything going around we must go and check this place out…” Kevin closed in on me from behind and buried his head in the crook of my neck. His even breathing against my skin made me shudder but in a good sort of way. “What do you think we should do with Doctor?
