“Ah, yes.” He turned his back to me as we continued walking, but his voice took on an odd tone. “Kimberly.”
“I know she’s your daughter too.”
“No daughter of mine would treat her family the way she has treated you. I know you may not believe this, but your enemies are my enemies. Your pain is my pain. If your mother were here she would agree with me. If Kimberly has not earned your forgiveness, then she has not earned mine.” He looked back, his eyes black as the night, and winked. “Show no mercy.”
