Kindle Matcha Novels & Stories

"I got another surprise for you." He then went to the smart table which was electronically operated. He showed her the drinks and chocolates. "See?" "Wow." Her eyes widened. "These are Japanese KitKats." She reached for the matcha KitKat as she became emotional. "I love this chocolate." "I know." He chuckled and hugged her. "I want to eat it now." "Sure." He carefully helped her sit in the rocking chair. He opened the chocolate for her as she broke it and took a bite. She hummed while tearing up. He wasn't surprised by her emotions, which were swirling like crazy, so he comforted her and joined her in eating.

“I gotta call Amelia. Forgot to ask what she wants.” He pulled out his phone and started unlocking it. “She likes an iced lavender matcha,” Micah said without looking up. Colton blinked. “Huh?” Micah nodded once, still reading the menu. “Iced lavender matcha. Almond milk. Light ice.” Colton stared at him. “…You sure?” “She always gets it. Unless she’s stressed. Then she goes for cold brew with vanilla and two shots of espresso.” His voice was flat. Calm. Clinical.

I smiled as I saw Kayla's message. "Hey" She said "Hey babe" I put my laptop on my bed and she turned on her camera and I smiled like an idiot when she's smiling "I'm drinking the matcha latte" She showed me the cup "How is it?" "Good.. Next time you should try these" She pointed at the cup "Will do beautiful" "So.. is she mad at you?" I knew what she meant.. She saw my mom missed call me a lot "Nah.. She's cool"

“Iced Matcha Latte for Gen,” Sarah calls. I didn’t even know what Matcha was. I just googled it while waiting for my drink, but I felt like I needed a change. I’m not the Caramel Macchiato Genevieve anymore. It’s weird to say, but it’s true. Crushed tea leaves. The color puts me off, but I’ll try it. I’ve already invested $4.50 into the new me. And Sarah didn’t even add a demeaning nickname to my cup. Progress?

So I take a step back and try to change the subject. “Anyway, this matchmaking thing is kind of weird, isn’t it?” I say with a laugh. “I mean, who knows what kind of person they will match me with? Some kind of stalker or psychopath, probably.” Jace nods in agreement and follows me as I enter the room where the matchmaker lady is waiting for me. She looks up from her table with a smile.

She had on a cropped cut off lilac crewneck sweatshirt with a paint splatter design and cutoff look with stretch black skinny jeans. She was in a mini heaven. She had never had that brand of cocoa but she thoroughly enjoyed it. Her father’s was the best she had ever had but she would that the mug in her hands contained the second best cocoa she had ever tried. And the Chelsea marshmallows she found in the kitchen were puffs of heaven floating in the velvety rich liquid. The two of them had been sitting quietly like that for nearly an hour when Meredith’s cup was finally emptied and when she made a move to get up Brayden interrupted her movement and she paused.

And it was going to be good. “So he’s not possessive?” I asked, raising a brow as I pulled the tea tray out and started picking through my stash for the perfect blend. After a second of consideration, I landed on red dragon chai mixed with a splash of black tea. Just the right kick of caffeine to match Mirabelle’s energy. She slid into one of the barstools at the kitchen island, her freshly manicured red nails tapping on the counter as a soft, thoughtful smile curved her lips.

I only let him take the Pilates bag and mat while clinging to my package and phone. “Thank you so much,” I say and enter the car. He comes in shortly and drives out of the Pilates studio. “You’re in a good mood, Miss Rose.” I nod, my eyes fixed on the ribbon and rose detailing on the package, which gives the sender away. My smile stretches. “Heading straight home?” “Yes. But I have to pick up my matcha… not sure why I keep drinking that grass.” Slowly, I pull the ribbon, returning my attention to what matters. I lift the lid, placing it beside me.

The cool, smooth textures sent shivers up my spine, reminding me of the weight of the decision I had made. The eldest maid, a woman with a lined face and kind eyes, stepped forward, holding up a gown of midnight blue. The intricate silver embroidery along its hem sparkled under the dim lighting, swirling in patterns reminiscent of constellations. I found myself staring at it, lost in thought. "My lady, this one would suit you best," she said gently, her voice a whisper against the crackling of the hearth. I nodded absently, taking the dress in my hands. It felt heavier than it should have—weighted with expectation, with duty, with the silent promise I had made to my people.
