The Avatar’s face didn't change expression, but the temperature in the room dropped thirty degrees. The sapphire glow turned from a soft pulse to a jagged, electric flicker. "Imperfection is a disease, Audrey," the Avatar said, her voice now sounding like the grinding of tectonic plates. "You cling to your scars as if they are trophies.
