I only wanted one thing, and that was for someone to fall in my trap, and I would destroy them with my bare hands. “Ugh! What are you waiting for like a couple of spineless idiots? Get out of my palace! All of you, out!” I thundered, shaking the roots of the palace in a moment. I watched them fall over themselves, as they struggled to get out of the palace. I turned my back, and walked into my room of skulls. I couldn’t sit on my royal bed. My situation was too awful for that. A growl escaped my lips in frustration. This really was happening. A human was in my pack, and currently in my dungeon, and worse still, my mate was finally here.

Kai Feng said. The entire room went quiet again. The King finally lifted his hands from the table, leaning back into his high chair. He looked up at his mother, his dark eyes fixed on her face with a strange, chilling stillness. "He saw a small fishing boat, two runaways, and three dead rogues. He did not see any letters from you, Mother." The Dowager smiled, a tiny, victorious curve of her lips. "You see? The King is logical." "But," Kai Feng continued, his voice dropping an octave, "he did find something else when we cleared the lower ridge on the way back to the Ghost Gate."

“Yeah. Jax is doting like a damn fool.” King’s hand clenched into a fist on the table. He breathed out hard through his nose. “She was supposed to be mine. That fire in her, the way she fights... I wanted her to choose me. Stand at my side as my queen. Not knocked up with Reaper’s spawn.” Tiffany’s lip curled. “That bitch doesn’t deserve—” King moved fast. His hand shot out and grabbed her throat, yanking her halfway across the table. The knife clattered to the floor. His grip was iron, not enough to crush but enough to cut off air.

He said curtly and coldly, although with respect as that was the oldest servant in the castle “Then let me lead you to their cage, young Master” He said with a bow as Kloss walked behind him. The cage was built with strong metal, in order to prevent the dogs from escaping, and it was strictly off limits to anyone apart from the royal family.
