The knock is a sharp, demanding staccato that shakes the heavy wooden door against my spine. “Zayn? I know you're in there. The Board is reconvening in five minutes.” I gasp. “Damon.” My breath hitches in my throat, my fingers digging into Zayn’s shoulders as I prepare for him to pull away—to fix his suit, to mask the hunger, to be the professional heir again. But Zayn doesn't let the knock bother us. “I know,” he says, pushing inside me again. “Let him hear how you scream my name. Let him know you’re mine.”

The knock came at ten past nine on Wednesday morning. Jayda was in the kitchen in her pajamas with her second coffee and the Phase Two preliminary budget she had been staring at for twenty minutes without actually reading, her hair in the particular state of someone who had slept well and had not yet done anything about the evidence of it, and Dess was somewhere in the apartment doing something that involved opening and closing drawers with great conviction. The knock was loud. Not aggressive — enthusiastic. The knock of someone who had a significant amount of feeling about being on the other side of a door and was communicating all of it through their knuckles.

My eyes fly open when Kent’s arm tightens around me the next morning, but it wasn’t his touch that woke me. Instead, it was the knock at the door. “Shit,” Kent growls, still not moving and holding me close, clearly working at once to wake the hell up and decide what to do. “Maybe it’s Daniel?” I squeak softly, my voice hardly higher than breath. Kent shushes me anyway. The knock comes again. “Zio?” a voice calls, and Kent’s arm tightens around me again.

“Knock! Knock!” “Who the fuck could be knocking this loud on my door?” I wondered, I quickly headed towards the door. Opening it to see Mr Beau, standing with his hands scratching behind his neck. “Uhhh,” he said, shutting his left eyes and staring at me nervously. I frowned, confused as to why he would know ck that loud. And why did he seem that nervous. “Is everything alright?” I asked, my frown deepening. He shook his head, his face pale as he avoided my gaze.

KNOCK KNOCK "Miss Amelthia!! Its morning. Wake up." He waited for a response but when he got none so he knocked again. KNOCK KNOCK "Miss Amelthia??!" Amelthia woke up on the sound of the door knocking. She got up and stretched her arms out yawning. She got out of the bed. She opened the door her hairs a mess and her still yawning. But as soon as she noticed Felix standing at the door she slammed shut the door again. Her running a marathon. " oh-...."

*Knock knock* "Young Lady, a man is here to see you" As she heard the grandmother's voice, she flinch and quickly rush up to the door, watch at the hole to see who it was, Her eyes darkened only to see Paul, his complexion is very bad, eyes are puffy, and it is obvious he didn't got any sleep at all, she even doubted whether he had eaten or not she quickly opened the door and quickly touch his face worriedly, "Why aren't you taking care of your face?"she asked him, he was touched that she is worried, but after realising her actions, she pulled away and distanced herself from him

*Knock* *Knock* As soon as hearing the knock, Elena woke up from her sleep, got up, and sat on the bed. Her whole body started to hurt and all the events that happened yesterday started to play in her head like a movie but were brought back by another knock on the door. She took a long sigh and got down from the bed while controlling her pain. Elena walks to the door and opens it, seeing kate there, and forces a smile asking "what happened?".
