She was drunk. Knock! Knock! I came out of my thoughts when I heard a knocking sound coming from the door. Before I could reach the door the knock had converted into banging. And I could hear Anna's voice. "Daniel, you bastard. Open the door. Or I'll break it." I rushed to open the door. As soon as I opened it I found a raging bull standing before me. And it was none other than Susanna Winchester. Her cheeks were flushed through high drinking. She was fuming while glaring at me with her blazing eyes. Knock!! I was working in my office. when I heard a knocking sound on my office door. I kept my work aside. Daniel's POV The knock came at nine forty three. I know the exact time because I had been sitting at my desk at home with the Singapore documentation finally receiving the attention it had been waiting for all week and I had looked at the clock when the knock arrived because unexpected knocks at nine forty three on a Wednesday evening were not something my building produced regularly. I was not expecting anyone. I got up. I looked through the door viewer. I stood there for a moment. Then I opened the door.

A loud and persistent knock permeated Becca’s sleep, three days after her confrontation with Dan. She ignored it at first, in the hopes that if she did so long enough, whoever was at the door would go away. No such thing happened though, as the person persisted in knocking until she finally had to stand up grudgingly and pad to the door to open it. She did not know anyone here and had no idea who it might be, but when she got there, she saw that it was Dan’s wife who was standing there with a sheepish smile on her face.

*Knock, Knock, knock* I no longer felt like I belonged. Everything just felt strange and so Modern. It took immense effort to get Henry to sleep, which added to Daniel's frustration. Downstairs, he reached for a glass of water when the butler remembered something, handing him a note. "Mrs. Carter left this for you." Daniel frowned in confusion, wondering why a note instead of a text or call. He took the note and unfolded it. Then his fingers started shaking. There was only one word on the paper: Goodbye. It felt like a farewell. His heart sinking, he raced to Kimberly's room. The door opened, and he froze. The once-warm space was cold and empty now. Their wedding photo was torn and smashed on the floor.

After a full day of deliveries, I smelled terrible. I changed into a fresh set of clothes and headed out to the gym. On the way, I sent Stanley a message on WhatsApp. "Stanley, meet me at the gym. I'll show you how the other half live." He replied, "Alright, Connor. I'll be there shortly." I arrived at the gym soon after, and Stanley was already there.
