I crossed my legs and laid the book on my lap, gently wiping my hand across the front cover. As if the book knew I was ready to recieve what was inside, it began to glow. I flipped through them again, my confusion deepening. “I can’t find anything in it,” I said cautiously, glancing up at him before looking back at the empty pages. “There’s nothing written here.” “That’s because you opened the wrong page,” he replied, unfazed.
