He brought his head down and I let out a grasp as he placed his head at the crook of my neck and inhaled. “You’re mine,” he growled under my skin. His growl sending shivers all over my body.

I stood in the training grounds, gripping my water flask tightly as I observed the warriors wrapping up their morning drills. Normally, they would have dispersed in groups, some joking, others strategizing. But today, they lingered in tight clusters, speaking in hushed tones. And whenever they glanced my way, their expressions weren't exactly friendly. A sinking feeling settled in my stomach. It was Maya. It had to be. After everything that had happened - the full moon, completing the bond, the rogue attack - Damon and I barely had time to breathe. And that was exactly what she had been waiting for.

She looked at him like she was disusted by his mere presence. "Don't you dare touch me!" she said but the gentle voice of Chaos suddenly turned dark and grabbed her wrist. "Amara, Don Cortez is no longer here. You are not protected anymore," he said and snickered on her in which she had slapped his hands and Amelia pushed him. "Amon!" as if cold water has been thrown on them, they finally came back in their senses. Chaos turned into a werewolf. "Ahhh!" the lawyer almost fainted when Amon and Resin turned into werewolf too. Amara couldn't transform. Her mother is a human, so the management can't be handed to her.

He brought his foot up again but Adom shouted in agony, drawing Jones's attention. Jones turned to them fully, swinging the sword in an arcing 'X' in front of him before advancing on them. Adom let go of Ammy and she fell to her knees, too weak to stand on her own. Adom stood, brave and unarmed between Ammy and Jones, not flinching when the alpha snarled at him to move aside. Adom refused and Jones rolled his eyes before back handing Adon who grit his teeth and fell to the side, on one knee.

“You’re stronger than him.” Her lips parted, but she stiffened as if she was fighting him. She kicked him in the stomach. “Stop playing games,” Mangus said. “You can’t do a thing for her, Kael. She is mine.” His voice sounded like a boss, the kind that could move mountains. The rune on her wrist flicked, caught between the two. Mangus' face fell. “I’m not doing this!” Kael dodged the attack to see what he could about Amara. If he could cut through the bond, if he could grab the real Amaara, then he just might have a shot.

Ryssa handed the second flaming torch to my mate and bowed. Denzel's eyes glowed, the fondness in his eyes grew as he wrapped his fingers around the metal of the flaming torch. Opening the door, I saw who I presume to be Amon with two older soldiers with him. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" They demanded with hostility. I quickly communicated with Damon telling him I've found Amon, that was the best thing I could do. It was not my battle to fight. "I'm sorry I got lost. You're the wolf king right, you look...good." I was trying to indulge them in a conversation before Damon or someone came down here. Amon gave me a suspicious look and checked me out, rumors were right then, he chases after anything with a skirt and forcefully had his way with them.
