As Zayla’s mom swooped down toward the ground, her magnificent wings unfurled like dark sails. With a fierce motion, she snatched another demon from the air, her long, sharp black talons slicing through the thick air. In a ruthless twist, she tore its head clean off and ignited the remains in a furious blaze. After the remnants burned away into nothingness, she pursued more foes, leaving a trail of much-needed destruction in her wake.

No, reaching inside the pentagram was forbidden. What if I poke him with a stick? He can’t just lie there in my tower, can he? I have enough problems on my plate without a dead demon! ** I was in agony. Every bit of my body that was still there was emanating with pain, even my tail. “Demon, are you alive? Demon! Damn you, you’re a rascal, not a demon!” It was clearly a girl’s voice. She seemed young and quite upset. She had a throaty contralto, clear and singsong, like hot chocolate.

he muttered, looking in the direction where Yuri had headed hours ago. Tohya nodded wordlessly to himself, suddenly feeling extremely exhausted. “Don’t go dying on us, Yuri,” he muttered. * * * * Yuri didn’t remove her hand from the holster that held Odium as she looked straight at Kami, not taking her eyes off of him. “That’s right, I haven’t told you my name, have I?” said Kami with a slight smirk. “Every child should at least know their father’s name, shouldn’t they? I’m Ryuou. Ryuou Kitagawa.”

Blonde hair, blue eyes, a handsome face, so smooth without blisters, and he was even a student. He was no one, sixty years before he was born, in a body that wasn't his. And the Demon king, the one he killed, was still alive, walking around somewhere in this timeline, young, healthy and free. And he had not yet became the monster he killed. His mind was still spiraling, then a knock jolted him out. “Lysan, the combat exams start in about ten minutes, are you ready yet?” Another male voice came through from behind the door.

"Do you really think that I will do that?" "Then explain to me what you are doing behind this place and pretend that you're inside?" I demand. He didn't respond for a moment but I felt his ragged breath near my ear and his arms that wrapped on my shoulder tightened. "I took care of the demon earlier." He whispered. "Wha–." I tried to turn around to face him but Liam prevented me from doing so and pulled me really close so that even the thinnest air couldn't pass between us. "I'm a demon slayer." He said and Jiroo and Ayu burst out into fits of loud laughter.

“What is that weapon in your hand?” Andrius saw that the attack was effective and sneered. “This blade is called the Nine-Curved Demonslayer. It’s especially used to deal with demonic cultivators like you. By the way, I got this sword from someone called Wilson Cox.” Wilson Cox! Elder Salo was struck by those words. “It really was you! You were the one who killed the Young Master!” After a brief period of astonishment was boundless anger. He stared at Andrius, his eyes spewing fire. “Boy, just surrender!”

An interesting look settled on my face. "Yes, my king," he replied, looking at me suspiciously. Was Stefan not the one with the nasty bitch that tried to seduce me? But she wasn't the one that caught my attention. What was the other girl's name? The one with alluring silver-grey eyes. Aury? Aurora? Yes. Aurora. Her strange colour of eyes held me spellbound. I had never seen something so enchanting in my life. A dark smile formed on my face as I thought of conditions to give him.

"I won't let them harm us." Aunt Cleo's voice sliced through the air like a warning bell, her words laced with urgency and gravity. "Aqua, you need to grasp the true threat of the coven. They're not just ordinary casters. Each possesses unique abilities, ranging from unnaturally swift regeneration and inhuman strength to the sinister power to manipulate creatures and even people, turning them into spies. Some even boast of an unnerving form of immortality, extending their lives far beyond the natural order. And worst of all, they have the terrifying capability to absorb the powers of other casters."

Ren urges me to attack the demon once we are free. I fight to keep control over my Lycan, taking in deep, steadying breaths. Once I have Ren under control I turn back to the demon and my Beta. Yuriko is standing in her spot, holding her neck, frozen. Blood drips down the front of her shirt from her throat and hands. Meanwhile the cocky demon is back in his seat, acting as if nothing happened. I brush off my suit and sit back in my seat, my desk in shattered pieces between us. “Why do you want me to come back demon?”
