The sides of my mouth twitched when he gave the most awkward smile amidst the tension. “I am sorry Alva.” I heard him say. “What?” I hesitated, unsure if I heard him right. Nikolas Sica would not have apologized to me… It did not sound right. His abrasive fingers left the steering wheel for a moment and wiped away an escaping tear.
