Odd since the royal family barely lifted a hand around here. There were large gold plated shelves all over the room, way more than I could hope to count, that contained books of all kinds, history, music, mysticism, astrology, and books of Lycan law. The spines of each book was so beautiful, I couldn’t help but touch each one I passed. "Elora! Isn't this delightful?" Lucy squealed like a happy child. "This place is beautiful." I replied, absent mindedly. I was totally lost in the beauty of the books.

She wandered up to one of the shelves and ran her fingers across the books worn spines; they smelled of dust and age. The books looked essential and historical. Nueva pulled a brow leather book from its neat row. The front cover had beautifully intricate designs etched into the aged skin, and a thin leather string locked the book's covers. She gently untied the knot and flicked through the aged yellow pages; Eira stirred inside her head. Nueva couldn't understand the language; it looked complicated and old, but the hand-drawn pictures drew her in.

Very few books actually looked different from the others. The one named, Glenda Macon, had a rose with thorns dancing along the cover. I even noticed one that was a shade of slate grey.

I know she stands no chance against me, but maybe she thinks she Does. I close the room door behind me, walking over to the small stack of books on the bedside table. Does Lucious enjoy reading? Ostana hardly glanced his way, not even as he let a whine leave his lips, and she continued reading and writing down whatever she had found. I huddled it close to my chest, and pulled myself out of my stupor as he approached. “You found it?” I beamed. “I did. Here you go,” he said, and he dropped a small notepad on top of the hefty book already clutched in my arms. Its pages were curled, and the front was a mossy green that had been spoilt over the centuries by water damage and coffee stains. “What’s that one?” He asked, nodding to the other book I was holding. “Oh. I’m not really sure. Do you know what it is? It says ‘Luna Lapis’ on the front. I thought it might have something to do with your pack.”
